How to change Evo-methods?

    Hi there :)
    I want to make Eevee evolve by using a sun stone for Espeon and a moon stone for Umbreon in pokefirered.
    I already changed the text in the evolution.h document and tried it ingame.
    I can use the stone on Eevee and the item use screen pops up but then it just stops and goes back to the pocket. I dont lose the item or anything.
    I feel like i have to change something other than that but have no idea what.

    You didn't specify which game are you modifying.
    Are you using Pokefirered?
    Because FRLG has a limiter that disallows evolving a Pokémon into another one if its species isn't present in the Kanto Dex, until you get the National Dex.
    You can disable it by removing this chunk of code.
