[Other] How to change existing items to evo items?

    Hi there
    I want to make trade evo mon available in pokefirered.
    Therefore want to just make the items formerly used to trade evo (kings rock etc.) work like evo items. (sun stone etc.)
    I have already changed it in evolution.c but could not find the right document for the item properties.
    On my testrun with clamperl and deepseascale it just said "there is no use".
    is it even possible?

    The source code that composes the game is right in front of you, so yes, it's possible.
    I don't use Pokefirered, but considering most of the codebase is structures in practically the same manner, mimicking the changes in this commit should be good enough.

    It most definitely works. I tried it myself just now.

    I provided the diff as an attached file, so feel free to check it out.

    If that doesn't work, I'm afraid this is probably a you problem.
    You must have broken arrays or functions of code pretty badly while performing changes to your project, and those changes must be causing this not to work.

    i must have screwed it up somehow by copying it wrong from emerald tutorials or something
    but now its working :)
