A lot of people try to make their text curve like how the original gameboy advance pokemon games for title screens. Here's how I do it.
    1. Open microsoft word. Not appleworks or any other word processor.
    2. Click on the word art button(it looks like a 3d letter "A" facing the southwest)
    3. Choose the type of Word art you wish(if you're still wanting to make the curvy text, take the arch shape)
    4. In the next dialogue box, input your game's title.
    5. At this point, you may be asking something like "Hey! my wordart isn't in the same color scheme as the Pokemon title screens'! Why not?" Well, you should double click the word art and select the main color to be white and the outline color to be black.
    6. Make sure the word art is small.
    7. Select the word art and press ctrl + "X" to cut it.
    8. open your title screen image and press ctrl + "V" to paste it on the image
    9. Using the line tool, trace the inside of the border until it is at optimal thickness, then trace it on the top and right sides of the inside with a light grey for the shadow.
    10. Simply finish your title screen and insert it into your game.

Note: Some versions of microsoft word don't give you the initial choice of making an upside-down "U" shaped pattern, so if that happens simply change your wordart's shape in the wordart toolbar.

Cool, but could you specify the font and font size? I know the font is Gil Sans condensed bold.

Word Art makes n00by games. Use better software or have an artist do it.
Word art is like programmer art, and programmer art is temporary.

    Weight (of outline) = 1 1/2.
But that's all I've tested, sorry...

You didn't just advise them to use word art.. Please tell me I'm reading things...

And what about people(including me) who don't have that program?
    I use DIGITAL IMAGE PRO.

If you want it to look official, You keep tweaking it..
That took me about 10 mins to think of the idea, boot up my recording software, Record it, Save it, And upload it..

So if you spent longer doing it, it'd come out better.
If you don't have it.. Go and download it, there is a trial you can use which'll last a month, and you could activate it too.. :-/

That video is actually really helpful. xD
I was never sure how to curve font like that in Photoshop.. which is weird, because it's so simple.

I always wondered how people did the title screen font.

    Haha Glad it helped.
Was just something quick so people wouldn't use word-art :D

You did not just suggest people download CS2 and activating it through piracy? Obviously you paid for it, right?

You can make it look good on any programme. Just make sure you use one of the following fonts:

    Pokemon Fonts

Not once did i mention piracy!
And Not once did I mention Cs2.

    CS3 :)

CS4 is Crap, And CS2 is just .. outdated :D
