6th Gen How to get a squirtle egg?

    I have a male wartortle and he made multiple eggs with a female psyduck but the eggs keep hatching into psyducks, not squirtles. Why?
     
    because the eggs take on the form of the female pokemon, unless youre breeding a male with a ditto

    Yeah like this dude said, the species is passed down by the female Pokemon while certain moves are passed down by the male. You'll probably need a Ditto in your case since it appears you don't have a female member of the Squirtle line.
     
    You must have a Female Squirlte or evo of Squirtle in order to get a Squirtle. As the other person said, the egg takes the form of the female. You can catch a Ditto in the Mountain Area of Kalos
     
    A Squirtle and a Ditto or a female Squirtle and a compatible breeding made should do it, as mentioned before. If you have any other small questions, please use the X/Y Quick Q&A. Thanks!
