    new here at PC and i had an idea of a hack rom but i dont know how... can anyone help me?
     
    You're going to need a ROM, and some tools. I recommend starting with Advance Map, which can be found in our Tools and Tutorials section. It allows you to alter the appearance of in-game maps. You will also need an emulator (something to play the ROM on) such as Visual Boy Advance.

    Once you have found a ROM in google, unzip the file and open the .gba file in Advance Map. You can then navigate around and find a map you want to edit. If you look for "3" (map bank 3) you will find all the town/city maps.

    Once saved, the change will be made and you can test it in your emulator.

    For scripting, coding events and speech, you will need a program like XSE and a matching tutorial - which we have plenty of! :D

    It may be worth noting that bank 3 is only used in FireRed / LeafGreen for the town/city maps, though I'm sure you'll be able to find what you're looking for in any (Gen 3 Pokémon) ROM using AdvanceMap.
