How to make simple scenes in Essentials

Hey, I think I'm glad mej71 created this tag. So I don't have any coding knowledge and I've never tried it out however I would like to. So my first question is how to connect like an image(can be me music or anything else) to a certain command. For example, the bag pack in the essentials has images that make it up. So this question is basically like asking for basic knowledge on creating GUIs I would say so. Even though I want to ask just general knowledge on creating GUIs but I think I would be to vague in explaining that I want to know the basics.

This question is actually more Essentials/RMXP specific. RGSS + Essentials already have methods you will use to accomplish the task, and would be quite different from doing the same task just using the default Ruby library.
Check out this tutorial by FL, it's very well documented and helps to explain at least the basics of creating a scene. The bag scene is obviously way more complicated, but you should figure out the basics before trying advanced scenes.
