How to speak Pok?mon

GENGAR!!
I've found a mistake!
Not ALL Pokemon talks in the same pattern!
Example: "Yes"
Pikachu---OTH, OT
Jynx---TH,TH
Haunter----OT, OTH
Mr. Mime----OT,OT
Vulpix----O~~~~~~

Hmm... Well, I don't quite get what you're saying... but a Jynx, when being spoken by humans, would be divided O-T-H; Jy - Na - xa. Which are al sounds that a Jynx can concieveably make.

Haunter: Hau na ta (not ter; he doesn't say that, as I'm sure you noticed)

Mr. Mime: Mr.-Mi-me

Vulpix: They can say their name, right? Vu-la-pix

Or did I miss the idea you were trying to point out? ^_^;;

All right, I'll explain.
Refurring that you use O for the 1st syllable, T for the 2nd, and H for the 3, that the Pokemon speaks.
I have found out that in Japanese version, the following Pokemon says the word "YES" (they nod their heads) like this:
Pikachu---OTH, OT
Jynx---TH,TH
Haunter----OT, OTH
Mr. Mime----OT,OT
Vulpix----O~~~~~~
Therefore, not all Pokemon behaves he same pattern.
 
Well, the only way I can account for that is to
a.) Quote the page on my website:
you will not be able to understand them by "learning" TAC Pok?mon Basic.

and to b.) point out regional discrepancies among real-life places and apply them to Pok?mon; Some people say "y'all", some "you all", and some "Yous guys", etc. Thus, some Pok?mon can say "yes" in different ways.

True, what Pok?mon say AREn't random, at least it appears that way. Do they REPEAT the EXACT same phrases for "yes" time after time?

And, if this wasn't made clear before:

TAC POK?MON BASIC IS NOT BASED ON THE TV SHOW AND WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO UNDESTAND THOSE POK?MON EXCEPT IN BIZARRE FREAK ACCIDENTS OF NATURE.

All right, I know what you mean.
But if you made a dictionary, won't non-Pokemon fans know how to use it?
 
If they don't like Pok?mon, why would they have anything to do with it?

Well, it really depends on their IQ. If their IQ is high enough that they can understand typing a word and clicking "go," I assume they'll be able to use the dictionary.

Otherwise, the issue is moot, because they're probably still struggling to get the "eat, breathe, sleep" thing down... Unless they're a Flaming Pok?mon Hater... in which case they'll probably just bash their computer in when they can't make it work.

Yeah, why's this an issue?
1.) Non-Pok?mon fans can be nice people. It's the il-Pok?mon haters (il = illogical) that we need to fear.
2.) If they were il-P Haters, they probably wouldn't be looking at these sites anyway, and if they were, they would probably hack them REGARDLESS of the dictionary.... putting a site out there that some people don't/won't like is ineveitable, and hacking is a risk in ANY site.

(Dictionary is now far off in el futuro....)

I'm not going to bother? my brother would probably like it, though. He used to like Pok?mon, but hates it now. I don't understand it?

Maybe because his friends picked on him when he loved Pokemon.
I am always being picked on because I like Pokemon.
 
Hmmm...very interesting. I had always wanted to decipher those high-ptched squeaks. :confused: Also, I tried the ALT + 1, 3, 0 combination but it didn't work. Does it only work on European keyboards?
 
For English ones, Alt+ 0233 does it. You may need Num Lock on to do it.

How about we do something really simple, then work on something slightly harder?
Examples:
Talking with unknown
eg.

Using a Pok?mon's name or type for a specific letter
eg.
Lickitung fIre Kabutops espEon- haunTer growlitHe tropIus graSs

(maybe even putting them into sentences)
eg.
((I really can't be bothered!))

Or a long, inefficiant way: saying a Pok?mon's name until you get enough of it to enter it into different lines and form letters:
eg.

**********pika************pika***********pika******chu******* **********pika************pika***********pika******pika*******

Then again, that takes long and is easily decodable...
err, consider. Probably not.

P.S. For the ?, you need num lock off, you press alt+0233 and take off alt right afterwards, otherwise nothing comes up. Or these: ?, ?....

If you can't access your alt keys that way you could try to use the special characters through the Character Map.
Depending on which windows version you have, you can find this program by doing the following (this should work on win 95, 98/se, 2000, and XP editions.)

Click Start > Programs/All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map.

I can eaccess to them.
But the problem is, I need Cantonese input programme to type Cantonese, and after I clicked "Cantonese server", all those symbols becaome meaningless Chinese.
But I am not going to delete the "Cantonese server", because it would be a long time for me to re-open it again.
 
Hmmm? ? Copy and paste! Keep it in a file in your favourites!
