How to spot fake pokemon cards on ebay?

    Hi, so I have been looking at card lots online and have wanted to get back into collecting cards. I want to have older cards again but I have been apprehensive considering the lots can be so pricey. Is it likely that I would run into fake lots on ebay?

    It's not likely that most lots are fake, but there are several tells of fishy lots. One that comes to mind is if they use a stock photo or use someone else's picture of a card in their listing (the latter can be figured out via Google Reverse Image Search).

    Pay attention to details in the listings, too.
