4th Gen how to tell if i received a hacked pokemon

now i know this probably isn't where it's supposed to be but i searched for the place where it should and couldn't find it, i only find a link to it in some other thread awhile ago, but anyway...

how do i tell if i have received a hacked pokemon in a trade? i don't really know anything about hacking and don't want to, except how to check if they are hacked. Thanks!

Once way is to check the location where they found it, and then check serebii or others to see if it is found there. Or the level they found it at.

Well you can clone on D/P via the GTS - you can google such guides easily enough. If you don't have those/you cannot, then just check that that stats make sense (you might want to use specific berries to remove any EVs they have), and their location is possible, etc.
