Is there any method by which I can view what the actual Text is on a Script Editor or a Hex Editor, instead of those random symbols that show up on the right hand side?

Just copy the hex you want to see in text, and paste it in a hex>text converter. There may be built in converters in some editors, but most don't that I know of.

Okay, I downloaded a Tool called Text Hex Converter, which converts Text into Hex & vice-versa, but the thing is, its a standalone Tool, I mean, you don't have to actually open a ROM, to work on that Tool. The thing though is that you need to know the Offset of where the actual text is located on the ROM (for Hex to Text conversion), so you can input it into the Tool, for conversion. But this Tool doesn't tell you that.

I was rather looking for a Tool (maybe a Script Editor, Hex Editor or any other Tool) that shows all the actual Text on the right hand side, as soon as I open a ROM in it & not those random symbols. Is there any Tool that allows me that option?

That Table in the link seems a bit incomplete to me.

There are a couple of Tables on this thread - https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=330474

Shouldn't I be using those Tables instead? (I don't know which one I should use though)

Also, are the values same for R/S/E & FR/LG? (Does seem so, but just want to be sure)

I use a FireRed table for Emerald and it works ok.

Okay, I downloaded Translhextion & saved the two tables from the link I mentioned (https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=330474), as .tbl Files, I might add.

The MSG Hex Values Table works (it does show some Text, but most of it still seems messy), but the Standard Hex Values Table doesn't, I mean when I try to open it, Translhextion always gives an error (kinda hangs) & I have to close it. Can someone tell me why is that?

P.S. - when I first opened Translhextion, I got a message that it was trying to write something to my registry, hopefully that's ok, is it?
