dqle: Not really an aura, just him turning pale. That's what it looked like to me more than anything. It wasn't turning to stone. Yu-Gi-Oh! was where people turned to stone.

But he DID die in the Ghost Episode in Kanto.

My whole point is that Ash is more likely to get killed than Pikachu is.
