How would pikachu die?

Like I said, Pikachu will become immortal before he dies. Let's put it this way. He's less likely to die than Ash is. That's taking into account the amount of times Ash has been resurrected.

Hey, I totally agree with all of you. If Pikachu's gone, so's the show. So that's not gonna happen! Besides, it might be too emotional to people.

I never recall Ash ever being 'killed'. So what if Mew and Mewtwo accidentally turned him into stone (still can't figure out how that works out) and being absorbed by 'Groudon', my definition of someone passing away is the fact that the person can never be brought back to the living, but since Ash will never go away, he's really nevered died.

P.S. Pikachu's one of my top favorite Pokemon (next to Pichu, of course). I despise all who hate Pikachu, or just about any other Pok?mon.

I dunno about Charizard...

Pikachu is totally abused by the lame marketing stuff. Though, I don't really care. Actually I never watched the show (yes I did, but I'm not that interested).

Mew and MewTwo killed him. The coloring was him turning pale and the life leaving his body. But, he was resurrected. If he was just turned to stone, they would've just whipped out a Potion to heal him, like they did when Pikachu was poisoned.

Haunter, Gengar, and Ghastly accidentally killed him and Pikachu, but they got revived at the end of the episode, remember??

Um, according to all of the items discovered so far in the series, both the show and games, there's no item that can cure the status of turning into stone, as there's no such condition. (that is, before the blast that Ash recieved) You can't really tell if Ash really had a change in skin color as there was an aura of some sort surrounding him before turning into 'stone'. (really, being hit by a blast of such calibur would make you think that something still standing at the impact zone would be crazy)

If Ash and Pikachu did pass away, how come both Ash and Pikachu, after being 'revived', didn't sustain the wounds and/or injuries that knocked them both out in the first place?

F.Y.I. The items used on Pok?mon are strictly FOR Pok?mon. Notice that none of the characters never used a potion on themselves when they've been injured. (come to think of it, what does Jessie and James take after crash landing time and again?) Remember the episode where Ash and Tracey (and Jessie) were clumsy enough to get caught in a Vileplume's flower, causing them to become Paralyzed? (it almost seemed life-threatening...) Misty (and James) then looked for Salveo weed (pardon the spelling) to cook up a cure. If Pok?mon items were useful to humans, then why couldn't Ash and Tracey take a Paralysis Heal?

Ghosts: The Ghost Trilogy, as I call it, where Ash fights Sabrina had them get killed and brought back... They got crushed by a chandelier and got revived later. There was no injury visible on them for one reason. The show isn't rated TV-PG or TV-14. You know from watching the show that they only get bruises and NEVER BLEED! Blood seems to be non-existent in the show.

Items: Also, they NEVER say that items can only be used on Pokemon. That's just the general assumption since your Trainers in the games are exempt from injury and death.

Why they didn't take a Paralysis Heal: They DIDN'T HAVE ONE. Ash even said earlier on in the show that he didn't have much money; they couldn't afford to buy any Potions. I mean, they're like 50 bucks a piece! Are YOU gonna go into the wilderness carrying that much cash around?

Changing color: Like I said, that's just an 'anime' thing symbolizing the life leaving Ash's body. But, you're right. Any part of Ash being in the blast zone should've been impossible... That DID bug the heck out of me...

Note: Super Potions in the series seem to cure status ailments as well. Pikachu got poisoned and they used one to cure him.

Boy, I'm glad you're argueing with me, SBaby. You're one of the people that seem to like to prove a point, just like me. It's been months since somebody's willing to debate with me.

Tis just a flesh wound: Blood was only used ONCE in the series (although it's more like a representation). In one episode, forgot which one, Jessie smacked James, screen goes black then a streak of red appears that resembles blood, and the next moment, James has a missing tooth. I've never seen bruises in that show, except where cut or piercing marks should be, in which case look like red bruises.

No, it's not for you, Ash Ketchum!: I do agree about the items. But that's just according to the games. Of course you can't eat all of the berries you pick off the trees/bushes/ground (yuck). And the Escape Ropes are only used to get out of dungeons (why dungeons? there's no such thing in the game OR the show) and not for stangling other trainers that irritate you.

Rich people: It's not Ash's job to carry ALL of the items. That's either Brock's or Tracey's depending on the season. During the Orange League episodes, Tracey seemed to provide all the remedies that the group needed just like Brock did (and still does). Besides, Pok?balls cost 200 Pok?yen or whatever unit of money they use and Ash seems to carry a substantal amount of them. In that case, Pok?balls, since they're such a common item, that cost 200 <enter currency unit here> isn't a whole lot.

Mmm, glowey: Speaking of the stange aura around Ash, I'm pretty sure that it symbolizes life in more than just anime (and the other Japanese forms of 'cartoons'). Then again, the aura could be representing other things as well, like the after-effects of being hit by such a strong Psychic attack.

Just for Fun: Potions seem to sting Pok?mon, just like Rubbing Alcohol stings us (ouch).

I wonder if mirrors would reflect either Mew's or Mewtwo's Psychic attacks? Personally, i doubt it.

Oh, and Pikachu isn't gonna die. EVER!!!!!

Ash did die, in the first movie. Sorta.

When was Pikachu born, anyway? How old was he when he was caught by Ash?

Hummm in reply to how long a Pikachu can live I don't think it's been brought up yet (*Or if it has then I missed it, sorry ^^;*) remember the Pikachu "Puuka" from that episode with the surfer, that pikachu was at least 20+ years old as it had been with the surfer dude for 20 years and it looked quite old too so I'm gussing a Pikachu has a lifespan of maybe 20-25 years, maybe a bit longer, tis only a guess though.

Like i said before, pikachu is the star of pokemon, It wont die!

Why is everyone who thinks Pikachu should die getting a bad rep?

People here worship Pikachu because they think he's a diety. And they're not far off. Actually, Pikachu has come through on a couple things that some other gods were having trouble with. It's amazing what you can do with an empty light socket...

My conclusion, Pikachu is immortal and WILL NOT DIE.

(I don't mess with Reps, just to clear things up... I don't even know how to...)

Immortal? At least in the show it is.

If the show can keep up with Ash and his Pikachu, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be worshippers towards the little yellow furball we like to call Pikachu. And I'll be the first to do so! (SBaby, did you read my last post?)

Oh, and for those who get downgraded for reps:
The sole reason why that is so is because of something called 'flaming', or the expression of complete hatred towards a subject. In the Pok?Community (as well as many other forums) flamming is just wrong as there's at least one person who agrees with the subject at hand. I'm sure you can put your opinions on the subject, as long as it doesn't harm, degrade, or in other words destroy a person's belief. Notice bullet number five on the Rules Link near the top of the window. In fact, read all of the rules before posting anything or else somebody (like me) could get ticked off.
(Hey, I didn't get a rep increase for over a year now, not that I'm complaining.)

Oh yeah, reps could also be lowered because of posts off topic, double posting...
