Hello there!

Been a long time lurker that was originally attracted here due to the fangames and ROMhacks. I've been getting into game preservation and I've been a Pokemon fan for a long time, so it was just a natural progression once I was able to start messing around with that stuff. But, after lurking and checking out the various projects and finding ones to keep up with and I think making a post about some technical issues on my end, I felt like it was prime time for me to interact with some other aspects of the site, since it felt like it would be a waste to not do so otherwise. Looking forward to getting to know the different folks around here and talking Pokémon! Would love to hear about peoples' personal favorites!

I do have some favourite Pokémon! Number one, Charizard, since Red! Second, Gardevoir (who would have guessed ? ^^). Then Salamence, Milotic, Rayquaza to cite a few! What about yours ?

Cool to see more users stepping out and saying hi! Some of my faves are Absol (youdon'tsay?.jpeg), Weavile, Meowscarada, Gardevoir, Luxray... Quite a few lol. I've got them all listed on my profile though, in the event you're curious.

Thank you for the welcome! I'm a huge Spheal fan, and Minior and Palossand are two of my favorite Pokémon due to how unique they are. There's definitely more, but then I'd be here all night listing them.
I'm always down for fangame suggestions! I'm helping another friend of mine getting into him, and I'd love to have some new things to pass along.

Favorite typing is something I'm currently trying to figure out. For the longest time it was electric due to being a huge Pikachu lover as a kid, but as I've played the games over the years, gotten better at them, and tried out different Pokémon and different teams, other types have managed to endear themselves to me for various reasons.

At the very least I can say that my least favorite type is Poison, but even that has some interesting shenanigans that I've enjoyed interacting with in recent generations, so it's not a super strong dislike.

They have great designs indeed! For fan games, I can suggest Zeta / Omicron, Solar Light - Lunar Dark, Insurgence (my top favourite ^^). And if you are into top level battles, there is Reborn (also with hairpulling puzzles) and Desolation (not finished yet but already many hours of playing)!

I never did! I usually threw that on a fighting type or Kangaskhan. Now I absolutely need to try that out.

The easiest game to do that in to my knowledge is FR/LG. I don't think it's possible to get a Pikachu in the newest (Switch) games with it unless it's traded up. But I honestly think the older looking graphics of the earlier Gen games makes it better anyway lol.

Insurgence is great! It has so many great looking fakémon (I love Delta Charizard! ^^), many maps to explore, great means to train Pokémon, ...

What originally got you into Pokemon ? =3

Spheal is the best little guy. It's spherical and it's just so happy. I want to squish it.

I got into Pokémon as a kid; my first game was Leaf Green for the GBA and I played it on an SP I'd gotten for the holidays. It probably took a year or two to really understand how to play, but afterwards, I wsa hooked.
