Actually, I believe that Slayr231 beat the challenge. He posted it on the first page.
 
My first update:
I started a game and choosed Mudkip. I've caught all allowed pokemons in this area ( Poochyena, Marill, Wingull and Lotad)
I defeated first gym with an help of Marill, second one Wingull soloed. Right now I'm in front of third gym realising that I'm not able to defeat it with only water pokemons so I'm gonna make an alliance with fighting gym. I wanted a fire one but I'm forced to make this one.
Poochyena died from regular trainer while I wasn't paying attention, rest in a box my friend.

One question:
Since I'm playing Emerald, am I allowed to use Battle Tents and their rewards?
Next updates will be more detailed.

Update 1​

Badges - 1​

Woah, my first update for this challenge.

  • Named my character "Jamie"
  • Chose Totodile as my starter, named him Jaws (Sometimes I'll name my Pokemon, sometimes I won't)
  • Went to Mr. Pokemon's house to retrieve the Mystery Egg for Prof. Elm
  • Battled my rival, afterwards I decided to name him Cato
  • Passed through Cherrygrove City
  • Arrived in Violet City
  • Completed my training in Sprout Tower and recieved my prize
  • Defeated Falkner easily (Jaws is still my only useable Pokemon at this point, so he is getting very overpowered)
  • Recieved the Mystery Egg from Prof. Elm's aid, depends on it's type or usefulness as a HM slave on whether or not I keep it (I can't be bothered to look up what hatches from it)
  • Departed from Violet City
  • Caught my first Pokemon, a female Wooper. I couldn't think of what to name her
  • Recieved the Old Rod from a fisherman guy
  • After some more training, Jaws evolved into Crocanaw
  • It's unfortunate to say I caught a Magikarp,(LOL) training him is going to be fun. Having him evolve into a big bad Gyrarados will be worth it though
And that's all my progress for now. I'm not sure which type I'll adopt, it just depends on whatever can counter the Pokemon I'm having the most trouble with. I have to say, this is a fun challenge. What's not going to be fun is training my Pokemon to defeat Red though. I'll update again soon enough.

Nevermind about my last question, I now know that using Nidoran is Ok.

Update #1 on Yellow:

Started the game.
Got Pikachu.
Defeated Rival.
Completed the beggining stuff.
Caught a Nidoran Male and Female.
Trained them.
Got through Viridian Forest.
Defeated Brock easily with Double Kick.
On the way to Mt. Moon,both my Nidoran evolved!
At Mt.Moon, I found 2 moon stones which I used to evolve Nidorino and Nidorina.
Defeated Jessie and James.
Reached Cerulean.
Got Bulbasaur because I will use it after I ally with Erika.
Defeated the Nugget bridge trainers.
Got Charmader.
Caught Bellsprout(Also to be used later).
While training Charmander evolved.
Got S.S. ticket from Bill.
Defeated Misty(Nidoking almost fainted!)

I beat the challenge! It was looking really close for awhile there, but I was able to scratch by... barely. Fangus was my only trained Pokemon left by the end of that battle.

I added a new rule to my challenge- If any of my team members(Nidoking,Nidoqueen,Charizard,Venusaur,Victreebell,Flareon) faints, then I am not allowed to capture a replacement for it.

EDIT: My sister overwritted my yellow save file without asking me so I am cancelling my challenge.

I forgot to update:
-Started with Piplup
-got to Orebugh mine and caught a geodude.
-Later caught an onix but it died
-beated Roark thanks to Rock Smash
-Beated galactic in valley windworks
-Got to Etarna city and caught some geodudes at mt coronet and then realised I could caych drifloon. So I'm waiting till Friday.
 
RRrrgh I wanna try this, this looks fuuun. Took the quiz and got district 12, but don't know what version of Pokeymanz to pick. I'm thinking either Platinum, White, or Black 2, since those are the only ones I have kickin' around not doing anything important. Which should I do >_>
