They never go as planned.
My first HG file, I'd planned to take down that Miltank with my Geodude, but ended up using Curse several times on my Slowpoke. Stomp did nothing, Slowpoke eventually takes it down.
This file, my team is an awesome combination of:
- Quilava
- Sunkern
- Rattata
- Togepi
- Poliwag
- Spinarak
Rattata takes out Clefairy no problem. Gets knocked out by Miltank shortly after, though. I switch to Togepi, to Charm down its attack. Then, I'd use Metronome and/or Extrasensory to take it down slowly.
Then I realized that Miltank knew Attract, and that the only female Pokemon I had? KO'd. :(
With Attract up, Togepi still manages to use three Charms. Then I use Metronome for giggles, really. Togepi used Sacred Fire! Doesn't do crap for damage, but Miltank gets a nice burn.
Togepi would've KO'd it if I had remembered to actually buy Super Potions/Lemonades before coming in. I spaced it. Soon enough, Togepi is KO'd, and Miltank doesn't have terribly much HP left to go.
I send out Quilava for... I don't even know why anymore. Miltank uses Attract. Quilava doesn't attack her at all. Miltank soon faints because of its burn.
So Quilava got 800+ EXP for just standing there looking lovestruck. XD;
Hopefully this team doesn't get stomped by Morty like my last team, but considering I now have a Raticate and Togetic, with Crunch and Extrasensory, I don't think I'll have as many issues. Now, to get a Sun Stone for my poor little Sunkern... I wish I had a spare DS, I have several Sun Stones on my Pearl file. :/ Also need to figure out what to replace Raticate with, as much as I like it I don't want two Normal types on my team.
