So... I am a huge fan of Pokemon, but I am not in a position to waste money, I have it but don't want to invest in a game that I think might be just a rip-off.

Could you tell me if the game is worth it? I really wish for this game to be better than a simple port to the switch and for the users to actually have what to do post game.

    So.... Is it worth it?

I'm only 3 badges in at the moment, but BDSP has so far seemed to be exactly what I've thought it to be for a long time and I don't get the feeling that the game will do something in the future to change my opinion: it's a glorified remaster.

So I'd say that it depends on how you feel about the originals and what your ability to play OG DPPt is like, and whatever other personal factors may play a role. 4th Gen is my 2nd favorite, so it being what it is isn't terrible, as much as I wish it more substantially changed and added things a la FR/LG or ORAS, so it was a low-risk purchase for me.

simply put: if you like dp, you're going to like these games. go in with the expectation that it's dp for the switch except with QoL updated to reflect current generation standards and you probably won't be disappointed.

that said, i've heard the post-game is pretty challenging, so there's that improvement.

I am heavily into collecting pokemon. Since I have pokemon Sword, I wasn't able to finish my whole pokedex (damn Zarude) and wasn't able to catch the legendary exclusives. I was thinking of buying it simply to get all legendaries. I understand that they are widely spread and not halved like in SwSh. Thoughts?

    Underground, underground, undergound.
I am spending sooooooooo much time in it it's soooooo fun.
Just that alone made my money worthwhile I am even having the intention to get Shining Pearl now.
