Issue: I cannot search usernames

every time I do a username search I get the following error

Invalid User specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

even when I search my own username

Can you copy one of the urls that you're at when you get that error?

Also what you're doing is kind of confusing...are you searching for a name in the search box for posts, looking up all posts from a certain username in the username box, clicking the "see all posts by this user"?

in advanced search, there is a username search, everything I search brings up this error..... the url returned is https://www.pokecommunity.com/search.php?do=process

That error happens for me only when I misspell the username or put in one that doesn't exist...have you tried just typing in the first couple letters and clicking on it in the drop-down that appears? For example, if you type in "justinr", then the drop-down will include justinrpg and you can click that and have it auto-fill to make certain that the username is exactly right.

And you are typing their username into the "User Name:" field in the "Search by User Name" box on the top right of the search page? I just searched your username and I got 232 thread results.

Something to note is that when you hit the back button from a search to go back to the search page, the field for username searching clears itself, so you have to re-type their username.

I'll just throw it out there that an easier way to get to a user's profile imo is to type into your address bar:

https://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?username={username} where {username} is something you change yourself to the name of the user you're searching. So yours would be https://www.pokecommunity.com/member.php?username=justinrpg

I think the point of what he's doing though is so he can look at all the threads he posted in to see which ones have been updated. Like, if you search for your own username, it will show every thread you've ever posted in in order of last updated, and that option isn't on a profile.

I am not sure what you want to do, but if you mean you just want to straight out search for a user's profile by name, then you can go here to the members list, and if you click on the "Search Members" link it will show a textbox where you can enter the user's name and it will show a list of results that contain your entry.
