4th Gen I can't beat Cynthia!

I beat the Elite Four and I need to get past Cynthia. What would be the ideal team to beat her with?

I used a pokemon team with a strong fire type, a strong grass type, a strong electric type, a strong fighting type, and a strong ghost type to beat her.

Hm...see I tried using Dialga, Torterra, Luxray, Chatot, Shellos, and Graveler. Well, I need a specific level/pokemon to associate with. So...which pokemon should I use exactly? Which pokemon did you use?

Well, I think you should lose that chatot and graveler and go for either Infernape or Roserade or Steelix.

I find Liquid Ooze Tortiodon and Levitate Dootakun to be good here.

Toritodon is, at least on paper, a Swampert with access to Both Counter and Mirror Coat, plus Recover. It's low Defense hurts it, though. WIth Liquid Ooze It can hurt anythign that uses Giga Drain (Though only an imbecile would keep one out if they know previously the opponent has it on their Pokemon)

Dootakun, with Levitate, only has 1 Weakness, a x2 one to Fire. With Many resistances and great defenses, It can take a beating. Too bad it doesn't have and instant recovery move that's not Rest :<

Toritodon and Dootakun are both Pokemon introduced in D/P and are found within the Shinou Dex.

Spiritomb gave me the most trouble, BUT Foresight Aurasphere Lucario can make it cry. Or any Foresiht fightign poke. Garchomp I suggest a fast poke with an Ice move or if your Dialga/Palkia can survive a hit from it use them and which ever dragon move is effective. Dclaw or Since all I have is Dialga Roar of Time or Dragon pulse works too, but I used that TM on Lucario, Lets see for HER Lucario any fighting or ground type'll work Those are the only three who gave me much trouble. I used Azelf which was a mistake. I shoulda just used Honchkrow for Roserade. only 4 I recall that gave me to much trouble... And to be honest I revive max potioned my way through the E4 so...

Pretty pointless thread; any team can defeat the E4 if it's evolved and at a high enough level (Like 60+ but I did it at low 50s) and it helps to buy a lot of healing items too. Probably dump Chatot and evolve the other two if you want. I'd use Dialga to absorb hits and heal team members. Get Ice Beam or use a Dragon attack against her Garchomp. Lucario can die from an Earthquake from Torterra or if you train a Staraptor with Close Combat. I think those two are the only threats. The rest of her team goes down fast.
