Have you ever disliked a certain pokemon, then out of the blue when you get to know it, you started to have an appreciation for it? Why did you dislike the pokemon in the first place, and why did you suddenly start liking it?

For example...I was a REAL Blissey hater, until...you know what? I've used it a couple of times, and it saved my ass in battle many times... Why didn't I like Blissey? Well, being ht best special wall in the game, I use to hate how everyone used it and the game is stalled. :|

Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, and Muk, until I learned that koffing and weezing are EXCELLENT defense tanks, and grimer and muk are EXCELLENT special defense tanks. Meh, I never liked poision types, though.

I never really liked bug pokemon too much until I learned how good they can be.

Well, for me, it was Electivire...
I never really liked it. In fact, I hated it.
But now... it's a reliable member of my team in Diamond... ^_^

I didn't like bug type Pokemon until I decided to use a Scizor then a Volcarona. I didn't like Yamask nor Oshawott until a heard their cute Japanese voice in the anime.

I hated Muk until I actually used it in battle. Still have a dislike for Poison-types in general though:\

I hated Oshawott and it's evolutions but after a while and seeing it in the anime I've gotten to like. That's been the same for a few more fifth generation Pokemon like Sandile, Darumaka, Genosect and a few more.

The Tynamo family: mainly because I was jealous of its no-weaknesses but wanted it to me so much faster than it eventually becomes. Now that I have one on my team, I appreciate it so much more, but have also come to like its design as well. Funny on how opinions change like this when you finally use the Pokemon itself.

    Togekiss.

When it first came out, I thought it's design was horrible, and that in wrecked the Togepi evolution chain, but then in Platinum, I decided to evolve my Togetic into it, and I actually ended up liking it a lot. It helped in many battles.

I had that attitude toward most of the Hoenn Pokemon when I first saw them. It was only until halfway through Emerald that I started thinking "You know what? I really like these guys." And now they're my favorites. <3

All Dragon types. If it makes sense, I hated them because they easily owned my Pokes on almost every game I played. But, In my White version, after tired of getting owned by Haxorus and Hydreigon, I finally said "Scraw this! Im getting myself a Axew and Evoing it to Haxorus and fighting fire with fire! Get ready little boys, cause the big man is gonna be coming!" Or something along those lines. So in my second playthrough, I grabbed mahself a Axew and got it to a 52 Haxorus by the E4 <3. Now I absolutely luuuurve Dragon types, though I hate them a teensy bit if other trainers are using them D:.

There's Mr. Mime and the Slakoth family.

I first hated Mr. Mime because I think its design is UGLY but when I saw him on the anime, I was like "OMG SOOO CUTE!!" Same for the Slakoth family.

It happens with every Pokémon that I end up disliking whether it being the design, competitive play or just its annoyance GameFreak has given it within battles, that I begin to adjust to in a short amount of time. I'd say one of them would be Stunfisk though. It's alright in battling, but its design and cry in a battle just irked me so much haha. It also appears so much in the puddles of Icirrus City. @_@ But, I've adjusted and learned to just laugh at its failcry. u_u

I've always loved both of those D:

I used to hate skarmory. Because it was slow. Now I love it in competitive battles :)

I hated Klinklang at first, but it grew on me because of how cool Gear Grind, its signature move, looked in B/W. I also hated Eelektross, but it also grew on me because of its incredible movepool.

I never really disliked them, but until Soul Silver I was pretty indifferent towards Tyranitar and Crobat. Now I've used them in my main team I really like them. :)

Also I was indifferent to Croagunk but Platinum made me like it much more.

I used to not be a fan of Houndour and Houndoom. I had tried using them in my team a long time ago when I was still a preteen playing Pokemon and I hated them. But while doing my monotype run, I fell in love with the Houndour/oom I caught and I have a new found respect for them. She got me out of sticky situations and became my favorite Pokemon on my SS team.

Also, Sceptiles family. I used to hate their design and them in general. But since getting Emerald version, I've used them in challenges twice and Sceptile is pretty tough for a grass Pokemon. Its no power house by any means (Typhlosion is the power house of that generation), but its pretty strong. For a grass Pokemon.

And ice Pokemon in general. I never used to like them. Now I find them quite useful. Freezing moves come in handy because a frozen Pokemon can't move at all. (Opposed to a paralyzed who has a 50/50 chance of being able to.) And some ice moves are pretty neat.
