I don't get how this team has been so effective.

I've been running a team recently, and it's won me every match to date but one. I'll post what it is.

    Gardevoir@Choice Scarf
Modest, Synchronize (to shift statuses back)
    255 sp. atk/255 spd (I didn't do the 6HP on this one)

    Psychic
    Thunderbolt
    Focus Blast
    Energy Ball

Scarf sp. sweeper that's so unexpected. Throws common Gengar and Gyarados out the door. It's at 375 speed with the Scarf.

    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Impish
came from Dark Azelf, but I think it's 252/252/6 spread

    Drill Peck
    Roar
    Spikes
    Roost

    Your basic physical sponge Skarm.

    Blissey@Leftovers
Bold, Serene Grace (IVs are wonderful but ability is bleh for this set.)
    252 def/252HP/6 sp. def

    Seismic Toss
    Aromatherapy
    Thunder Wave
    Softboiled

I really wanna run Ice Beam, but I can't make room. I hate status effects, so Aromatherapy's a must. Thunder Wave I just love since most of my team runs slow in a way.

    Tyranitar@Leftovers **Mr. T**
    Jolly
248atk/252spd/10HP (I made a mistake in EV training, and I think this is the spread I need to fix.)

Stone Edge (Til I get Taunt, but I'm not too worried about Roar/Whirlwind; could leave Skarm trapped; see below.)
    Earthquake
    Dragon Dance
    Crunch

    DD-Tar ftw! Sometimes a lead.

    Magnezone@Wise Glasses **Magz**
    Calm, Magnet Pull
To be honest, this thing isn't even EV trained, but it still works just fine. I know its speed is 175+, which outruns most Metagrosses without speed EVs. I removed all attack EVs, however.

    Tri Attack (changing by chance)
    T-bolt
    Flash Cannon
    Magnet Rise

The first slot needs a non Hidden Power move that can be useful unless Tri Attack is okay. It serves as a decent powertank, and I like it.

Metagross@Life Orb **FACE!!!*** (lol, this one needs to be remade with better IVs)
    Adamant
252 atk/(actually forgot the rest, but I put some on sp. def and I think a few on defense, and lastly, some on HP. This was an older Meta)

    Meteor Mash
    Zen Headbutt
    Earthquake
    Explosion

Powerhouse hitter; Warning, Contents may Rupture when damaged.
    ---------------------------------------------------------
So tell me... How the heck has this team led me to at least 5-1 by now? It's severely E-Vire weak since it can hit everything hard, and Garchomp is another big hitter. I have no ice!

Bliss needs Ice beam, or else it is walled by common ghosts such as Dusknoir and Gengar. Rest-Talk Noir will smiply rest off the status you give with Thunder Wave, while you can do nothing but switch. Ice Beam over Thunder Wave, and Serene Grace Doubles the Freeze chance from 10% - 20%.

I consider T-Wave a big necessity in this case because it has proven very effective, and since Blissey can come in and T-Wave a ton of special sweepers and even some physical (somehow my Blissey survived a double attack Stone Edge from T-Tar... I don't know how) and T-Tar deals serious damage to Noir (If it Will-O-Wisps,, then I'll pop in Blissey to Aromatherapy the status away.

I would consider swapping out Magz, but Skarm's a huge threat as always, and this is my counter to it unless it has Shed Shell.

I'm considering putting a CB Weavile in here to cope with my bad Chomp weakness.

Ice Beam Blissey is able to (At least) 2HKO Garchomp with 6 Sp. Atk EV's I believe. (Have to check this, may be more like 16 EV's or something)

Anyway, I can understand where you're coming from, but you fail to see my point. Your opponent, having seen your T-tar, will then see Blissey. Will Rest on your Thunder Wave / Aromatherapy, the sleep Talk out a Will-o-Wisp / Ice Punch, either one will do damage to T-tar. Ice Beam is a neccessity, otherwise that huge Sp. Def isn't going to help against Gengar when you cannot hit it...lol (Like from mine????)

I'm sorry but your team is too open to a Garchomp sweep. If you were to let a Grachomp set up swords dance, it could easily OHKO: Blissey, Tyranitar, Skarmory (fire fang), Metagross, and Magnezone. All it takes is a night slash from Weavile to eliminate your Gardevoir and your team is done. I'd look into... Blissey: Ice Beam, Possibly replace Magenzone with a Weavile

I fully understand your point 100%... What if I could put T-Wave on Magz, and then Ice Beam on Blissey? It'd be more supportive, and I gotta have T-Wave somewhere.

@Romo: I guess I've been simply getting rather lucky with team choices. However, this team is proving to be a wonderful base set to take me 5-1 so quickly.

My point exactly. Blissey has a high freeze chance and can deal signifcant damage with Ice Beam to chomp.

EDIT: ABYAY, can you check on my thread? I've made a few changes.

I've been running a team recently, and it's won me every match to date but one. I'll post what it is.

    Gardevoir@Choice Scarf
Modest, Synchronize (to shift statuses back)
    252 sp. atk/252 spd/6 HP

    Psychic
    Thunderbolt
    Focus Blast
    Energy Ball

SO unexpected, looks good though, Consider Hypnosis

    Skarmory@Shed Shell
    Impish
    252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 ATT

    Drill Peck
    Roar
    Spikes
    Roost

    Yep it is a 252 / 252 /6 spread, i made it ultra defensive =p lol.

Fine except it WANTS SHED SHELL or magnezone kills your physical wall

    Blissey@Leftovers
Bold, Natural Cure (IVs are wonderful but ability is bleh for this set.)
    252 def/ 148HP / 104 sp.att / 4 sp.def

    Seismic Toss
    Aromatherapy
    Ice Beam
    Softboiled

Ice Beam>> T-Wave. You need a different ev spread so you can do damage w/ Ice Beam

Serene Grace makes me and Blissey cry. NATURAL CURE PLESH !!

    Tyranitar@Leftovers/Life Orb **Mr. T**
    Jolly
    252atk/252spd/6HP

Taunt / ice Beam / Stone Edge
    Earthquake
    Dragon Dance
    Crunch

Taunt's not just for Skarm you know but to protect T-Tar from Status. Ice Beam OHKO'S Garchomp and Gliscor with Life Orb and even with Jolly Nature. Stone Edge gives you better coverage though and gets STAB. looks fine

    Magnezone@Wise Glasses **Magz**
    Modest
    Magnet Pull
    172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Speed
Hidden power Ice /Hidden power Grass
    T-bolt
    Flash Cannon / Substitute
Magnet Rise / Thunderwave / Explosion

Changed that mess lol, Tri attack isnt a good option as in it does nothing for its coverage

    Metagross@Choice band **FACE!!!***
    Adamant
    232 atk/ 252 HP /16 DEF / 8 SPEED
    Meteor Mash
Thunderpunch / Pursuit / Zen Headbutt /Bullet Punch
    Earthquake
    Explosion

Choice Band Gross is generally better this gen.

If you want another set try this

    Metagross@life Orb
    Adamant Nature
    252 ATT / 104 SPEED / 152 HP
    - Agility
    - meteor Mash
    - Explosion / Thunderpunch
    - Earthquake

agiligross, but it gets walled too easily for my liking.

    Changes are in bold.

BTW for your query about choice band weavile

    Weavile@Choice Band
    Jolly Nature
    40 HP / 216 SPEED / 252 ATT
    - Ice Shard
    - Night Slash
    - Brick Break
    - Pursuit

Awesome revenge killer, evs allow it to outrun max speed sceptile, alakazam and dugtrio. Max speed it redundant due to speed ties. 40 hp evs allow you to, at worst, switch directly into an Azelf flamethrower and live.

Also you die to Vire and Garchomp as previously stated.

Maybe a bulky ground type such as Donphan or Swampert or something would be of benefit.

well, like I said, this team was just pretty much loling at everything it faced, and I was thinking "...HOW IS DOING THIS GOOD WHEN IT SHOULDN'T!?"

Also, I need to make a few quick notes; I don't have access to Thunderpunch or Ice Punch for Meta. The only game I have of the new gen is Diamond. I'm not as big of a pokefan as some would expect; I just battle with the resources I have access to.

3rd note: -_-...no way in heck am I going for HP Ice or Grass, Ice if anything because Garde easily and safely guards vs. water/grounds since most garde sets don't run EB. If I do get Ice, at least I hope it'll be 60+.

4th note: I used to have a Modest Magz, but traded it away; this one served me better anyway. However, I'll swap since I have easy access to Modest Magnemites. In other notes, I'll stick with T-Wave and Magnet Rise/Explosion on the new one.

I'm considering Donphan over Skarm to cope with Chomp n' Vire, as well as keeping Leftovers. Also, when I get my Careful Cradily (been through at least 50 Lileeps as of now, not one near Careful.), Blissey will be replaced.
