I don't like Poke'mon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea

Alright, I was wondering if anybody else felt this way.

I didn't know who May was at first, because I took a break from the anime for about a year when I was young, but eventually I realized that Misty was working as a gym leader, so I liked May even though some others don't.
HOWEVER, you know how Misty loves water Poke'mon? Well, in Poke'mon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, May gets to care for Manaphy, who is a Water Legendary, and she swims (?) with a bunch of water Poke'mon at the end of the film.
Maybe I was a little naive, but I thought it was unfair. That would have been MIsty's dream!
I still like May, though, just mostly in the games.

    OHMYGOD.
    who cares. D:

Misty wasn't on the cast for the movie. And May needed her last bit of spotlight for her time on.

What do you mean for her time on?
Wasn't she featured in a couple movies?

Misty was featured in a couple of movies, May was featured in a couple of movies, and now Dawn has and will be featured in a couple of movies. It works that way.

It would be really random to bring Misty back just so she could play with water pokemon and wouldn't be as interesting as she already has a motherly side shown.

I ment just not make the movie like that at all?

I'm not 100% sure what you're saying but if you mean totally ditch the storyline besides playing with water pokemon just so we can get some Misty nostalgia, I'd say that would be a waste of a movie.
OR if you meant not having playing with water pokemon because it's unfair to Misty, I think that's pointless to worry about a character that's not on the show anymore.
She had her time, no need to interrupt May's just because it's water themed.

Personally, while the movie in itself wasn't too bad, I just didn't like May, especially near the ending.

Want to know what she acted like in the ending? She acted like a coward. Yes, that's right, a big, feathered, clucking coward. When Phantom kidnapped Manaphy the second time around, what did May do?! NOTHING! She basically stood there like a coward. I mean, she could have swam to try and get Phantom and Manaphy, or if not that, then DEFINITELY sent out her Squirtle to try and rescue it like she should as his mom, but nooo.... she just HAD to just stand there like a coward.

    Lol. Please just stop.

    May is adorable. :]
Ash had to steal her spotlight in the end. But May was no coward. She was very brave in that movie.
And Phantom was kinda speeding in the water ..there was no way for May to catch up, even if she tried. Ash only got to him because he was in that swirly yellow crap.

I didn't say a thing about how May acted, why are you quoting me? I was just saying why she's centered in this movie.

    ADDITION:
I forgot I sorta blotted the stuff with SUPER SAYAN SATOSHI out of my mind and I watched around that part again.
I count FOUR SECONDS before Phantom goes speeding off counting her turning around to figure out what's going on. There isn't much time plus, wouldn't how this is portrayed in your mind fit in your "sexist" to girls vendetta as as it left the action to Ash? (Don't forget he did shove her in a life pod.)

*AHEM* She has a squirtle, remember? It can reach Phantom in less than four seconds due to the fact that Squirtles are well known for moving faster than jet skis.

I know anime physics are somewhat askew but a 1 foot 20lb Squirtle (which May's was a baby, was it not?) carrying a 10-12 year old girl around faster than a jet skii seems unlikely and May might have a hard time holding on.
Also if Ash's Squirtle racing in the first pokemon mini-movie short is anything to go by they are really not even close to Phantom's mechanical speed, in the anime.

The movie deserves criticism, like anything else. However, careful, as I'd like to avoid any flaming. Just saying.

As for the movie itself, I thought Kyorge's cameo at the end was bizarre in its randomness. I thought Kyorge deserved its own story. If a Groudon simulacrum can get one in the first AG movie, why not its counterpart?

I have to agree. However, I watched the movie when I was young and I thought Kyogre was an evolution of Wailmer back then. xD

Also, if things get bad here I will ask a moderator to lock the topic, so no worries.

May is cute. She deserves to get all the stuff she wants on the movie, especially when Misty isn't on for ages. And also, the movie itself is just plain awesome, in my opinion.

Groudon received that role in the 6th movie because it fit with Butler's former job as a Team Magma member. If he was previously a Team Aqua member, they would've tried create a Kyogre.

I never said the Groudon role didn't make sense. As you said, it made perfect sense, because of Team Magma's involvement. What I meant was, "they could have find a more convincing way to use Kyorge, as they did with Groudon, whatever form it may be in."

    Better?

The movie was ok... but there has been better Pokemon movies.

That's why Ash saved the day, lol. He goes all mystic and beats Phantom. Yay.

Let me clarify; her sending out Squirtle to get it while she's still on Akusha. I definitely remember Squirtle's pokedex entry saying something about being fast enough to overtake a Jet Ski or something.
