I feel like giving up on completing the dex at this point..

Like i'm playing violet and i am only on pokemon away from completing the dex and the many times ive traded no one has even given me the pokemon i need - i was close one time but then they changed their minds and decided to disconnect in someway so now i'm just done with completing the dex because im getting do annoyed with it that i feel like theres no point if this keeps up.

To explain: I need a koraidon but have had no luck so now i'm just stuck trying to trade for one because i really want to complete the dex..but seeing as i'm having no luck i'm starting to lose hope in even completing the task

When Pokemon Home comes out of SV, just catch a version exclusive or shiny pokemon in the GTS there and wait. You will get a trade eventually. People will do anything for version exclusives or Shiny Pokemon.

You can also make a second profile on your Nintendo Switch. Play the game again and trade it when you can. Both can use Pokemon Home without extra cost.

Austin John Plays, a prominant pokémon youtber has has invented a very cool system for us to all trade our pokémon!
Use the trade code system, if you type 0400-399 (This is the pokedex number for both Miraidon and Koraidon respectively), you will be able to trade with someone specifically looking for a Miraidon to trade. I would suggest doing this and when there are more Miraidon in circulation you might be able to trade for another legendary you own from previous a previous generation (presumably)
