I give up trying to decide

Parawhat?

Look, no matter what, Gya will not hit everything, but his raw strenth should eliminate anything that resist it. Read my edit.

EDIT: Parsect? Really? One DD move of any kind, especially Waterfall, will wipe it out. The type difference doesn't always matter, but their difference in attack & defence will be the deciding factor at times. Between Gya & Para, their is a BIG difference.

Well, I did battle Dark Azelf just now, his Gyarados was kinda struggling when MY Gyarados outran him :D

??? What a match. Thats justvcause he had a slow Gya, I think.

Stop rubbing that in lol

seriously im not at all with it today.

and you obviously have a different ev spread to me or better Ivs, (the Ivs would be hard as mine has flawless in speed).

EDIT:and didnt you have about 2 0r 3 DD's in because of me being lackluster with prediction lol ??

Well no, but I was laughing out loud when I saw that it said your Gyarados can't use Taunt after the Taunt XDXDXD

Its fine Dark, that was a hard match for me, it took serious predictions to defeat you

Pokemon reminds me of chess.

LOL
In case you don't know, Waterfall and any water attack is absorbed by Dry Skin, and EQ does 1/4 of the damage. So you'll need Stone Edge/Ice Fang/Return tu hurt Parasex. Or Flamethrower, for the 1HKO :O

What was the LOL for? Not many people uses Parsect, it cannot survive an EQ with at least 2 DD. And Return should still not be used. Those moves you gave is resisted by Steel. Face it, Gya can't hurt everything.

Waterfall is a must on Gyara. The STAB worths it, and it will still be very powerful after a DD. For the 2nd move, I prefer Stone Edge, because when joined with Waterfall, these 2 moves cover about anything. Also it can counter other Gyarados.

But it is walled by Steel. Thing is, its a matter of choice. Of what you want to hit.

sims, I don't get it. You say that after some DDs (lol) Gyarados can hurt everything, even resistors. Then you say "Face it, Gya can't hurt everything." I'm confused.

EDIT: The only Steel types that resist Waterfall are Dialga and Empoleon, iirc.

I mean, it can't super effective hit everything, so to say "lose Earthquake" because of that is a bit silly. As I said, chose your targets.

Besides, Stone Edge is a bit too inaccurate, and one miss could kill it.

That old guy finally gave me Focus Sash! Horray!
