[Sword & Shield] I got a square shiny Magikarp

So I was playing Pokemon shield and I ran into a shiny Magikarp what had squares and so i caught it I don't know what to do with it should i evolve it or leave it be?

Congrats! Gyarados would be a cool addition to a party so I'd raise it. 👍 Especially since Magikarp can't really be used to battle ingame so it would sit in the box otherwise.
