Enshida also gives you berries if you complete the Silver Badges and Gold Badges. (I'll try and edit this when I remember the berries)... but he's kinda like your little assistant thingy really :/
Deoxys Speed has highest Speed in the game, and average base stats (they're not really low by any means).

The berries Enishida gives you are Lanset & Starf. You can't get them anywhere else as far as I know.

You can catch Mew after you get the 6th badge. Actually, you can whenever, but this way, you can fly back to Fortree and go to Lilycove on foot... or somethin'. :P
