4th Gen I have a question about battling?

If I were to use the move Switcheroo and switch items with my friend that I'm battling, and say the battle ends, will my pokemon who used Switcheroo get its item back? Or is the switch permanent?

I'm pretty sure you get it back at the end.

I mean, you get it back after "Thief" is used, too, right? o0 so it only makes sense that Switcheroo items are returned, too.

And I hate it when someone spams the such instead of reporting. =| Please people - if the thread has been answered then just stick to reporting, and either way no need to say 'gee why not use the help thread next time' or something along those lines. Just makes it worse and doesn't help matters.
