Me and my gf have been playing Pokemon Go for about a year or so, and I've been playing by myself for like 2 years, and neither one of us understands how to tell if a Pokemon is good or not. I was excited with the new update that shows you the stats, but I'm even more confused now.

[PokeCommunity.com] I just dont understand this

Like seriously, what's this all about? It has 3 stars, and it says the stats are pretty high, but it's combat power is only in the 300s? If I powered it up all the way, it would barely reach 1000 if that! And then 2 of my strongest pokemon are only 2 stars. Does anyone understand how this works?

What level are you? The amount of CP your pokemon can be scales with your trainer level. Based on IVs alone that is a pretty solid Blaziken though.

Yeah, the appraisal system checks Individual Values (IVs) and not Combat Power, from what I know. So your Blaziken has good IVs but just lower CP. Like Castform said, CP scales on level so that may be why yours is low, but even as a higher level you can still find Pokémon with extremely low CP but good IVs. The chances are just lower as you become higher level.
