Yeah but Stun spore activates Guts too so I honestly don't see the Heracross argument as a very valid one.

For Physical Ape? Thunderpunch is more common on Physical-Based Ape, so Swampert really comes in handy. To boot, Infernape, besides Grass Knot, really has nothing to counter Swampert, and we're talking Physical here... Edit: Oh yeah, BB on Crobat 'Cross fears...

And what happens when it used Stone edge or close combat so Power Whip will hurt a lot?

But most people don't run Sleep Talk Hera just to point that out. Guts-boosted ScarfCross is no bigger a threat than CBcross without a Guts boost. So you've essentially made it a CBcross with Stun spore. CBcross is REALLY powerful. Uh oh!

But in all seriousness Para doesn't really do anything besides stall the game out, and this team is NOT made to stall, I can tell you that now.

Second, I was just giving a personal example of why I vouch for Stun Spore. Most people on shoddy, maybe, but I've seen my fair share of Sleep Talk hera to say otherwise. Regardless of whether or not Megahorn comes out, it may still come out. That hurts like holy hell. Maybe not to Tangrowth

And Scarfcross is still out there, whether it's not as useful as CB or not. As said, I go for Spore. They annoy me more than CB, since they can fall in one hit. One good hit.

EDIT:Oh wait, Midnight goes for Spore. My bad.

Lol i remember my Sleep Talk Hera, i havent used it for ages since i now have a Cleric =[

Scarf Sleep talk hera is nasty to predict against cause you dont know what move itll pick.

This one guy switched an Altaria into a guts boosted megahorn and it was 2hko'd even though it resisted it 0_0.


You still need a bulky water btw, take Miltank out NAOW and put in swampy, do you want to get raped by Infernape ?

Its also VERY Tyraniboah weak.

3 normals with no fighting resist is very foolish....Id like to see Gliscor or something aswell.

Double power tangrowth is really sweet aswell, not as good as knock off in a spot, but its still nice.

NOT CHU'S CORNFLAKES!! And Stun Spore has worked wonders for me, its a better aid in stall wars too, and Mixpert walls both Tyraniboah AND Physical Infernape, so puts him in naows!

Gastrodon is quite good, an inferior version of Swampert--good, but not great. Good enough to use if you want.
 
Swampert is way better than Gastrodon and you'll pretty much make this team a joke adding it.

And could somebody please tell me how the para status is useful at all? All it does is slow down stuff and occasionally para haxes stuff. That's kinda worthless.

Great. Now Para is worthless. I don't feel like getting into this right now. Well, it wasn't worthless before, it surely isn't now. I don't know what changed since then. Sleep for me was always too risky. Sure, it shuts down 1 poke, and only 1 poke, but the fact that you must hope that it doesn't wake (Like next turn) is what kills it. I never heard of Para clause. Feel free to shut down the entire team.

Second, cool it. If he want's Gastrodon, he can damn well use it. Just like Nightofshadow said. We aren't allowed to play with what we want. If he wants Gassy, it's going in--either help around it or don't waste your energy. Don't waste time convincing him otherwise. He isn't stupid, and knows it's shortcommings.
 
Gastro and Swampert may have the same defensive typing but are otherwise quite different and even if Gastrodon were good it wouldn't fit into this team so well.

Para only affects stuff, it doesn't shut things down like Sleep does.

Not only that but this team doesn't benefit from Para support AT ALL.

Second, you aren't educating me on what Swampert & Gassy can do, by the way. I know how they are different. Not needed for the team is one thing, but if he wants Gassy over Swampert, accept it. If he knows Gassy will be a hinderance, but wants it anyway, leave it at that. If you can't help despite that, don't post. It's his team, and he makes all final desisions. We must only help as much as we can, while NOT chatizing him for refusing to make the 'right" desisions. We give a rate, advice, only words. We'll see what he has to say.

Sleeping pokemon wakes up, sometimes at the most unexpected times. And since you can only do one at a time makes that sleep crucial. Para hits all. Now can we STOP ARGUING ABOUT WHICH IS MOST USEFUL.
 
I never he has to do what I say. I'm only speaking the truth when I tell hinm that Gastrodon simply doesn't help this team at all. I'll accept that decision, but I AM allowed to tell him that it's the wrong decidsion. If we ran things so that "hey, he wants to use Palkia. No one will battle him but he makes the final call!" then nobody would get anywhere with these threads.

Honestly I feel like I'm being taken out of context.

I didn't understand what most of the post said. But I got anything right, then I'll tell you that you'll be taken in better context if you don't use caps. "AT ALL". That shows yelling, and can easily provoke a strong response. If he wants Gassy, just help around it as best you can.
