Hello. I'm totally new to rom hacking, but I do have plenty of experience in programming and spriting and such. I was wondering if I could get links to some Emerald hacking tools for text, sprite, map, and tile editing.

For text editing, you can use A-Text, but I highly suggest you don't use it, and just script.

There's different types of sprites. Do you mean Pokemon sprites, OW sprites or trainer sprites? Because if you need for Pokemon use Advanced Series (great for importing) and for others use NSE (both versions)

As for map and tile editing, use Advance Map 1.92.

It contains the following:

*Advance Map (Used to edit... Well, tons of stuff. Events, maps, wild pokemon, connections, etc)

*Advance Starter (Used to edit the three starters.)

*Advance Text (Used to edit all the text in the game.)

*Advance Trainer (Used to edit almost all the trainers in the game.)

*Free Space Finder (Used to find free space when scripting.)

*Overworld Editor (Used to edit the overworld aka the map you see in-game.)

*Palette Editor (I have never used it myself, but apparently its supposed to aid you in adding custom tiles and palettes.)

*XSE 1.1 Script Editor (Best script editor out there. For... scripting, duh)

*Start Map Advance (Used to change where you spawn when you first play the game. WARNING: CAN MESS UP YOUR ROMHACK BIGTIME. ALLWAYS CREATE BACKUPS!)

*Gen3 Toolmenu (A small toolpack, including pokemon Moves editor, change the pokemons sprites, Items editor aswell as a buggy version of a Trainers Editor.)
