Sounds like your powersupply might have fried something. More information would be helpful :)

    1. I'm doing normal stuff on the computer
    2. it just turns off randomly
    3. I try to turn it back on but it doesnt work, It just makes a "vrooom" sound and then turns off after a couple of seconds.

I'm not exactly a technician or anything, nor know enough about computers to give advice, but something like this happened to me as well. Only, it froze up for five seconds then turned off. But for me, I needed a new motherboard. You might want to check to see if you need one of those. Sometimes, when the computer won't turn on (for Dells, at least) if you unplug the power strip from the back of the computer and press and hold the power button for 15 or so seconds, then plug the strip back in, it will turn on again. But, if that doesn't work, I'd suggest calling your provider (whatever company you got the computer from, that is) and ask them to help you out. They'll send over a technician (or you can just take it to some shop to fix it) in about three or so days and they'll replace your motherboard for you.

But, like I said, I'm not exactly a technician. So, I could be wrong... very wrong. XD

Did you kick your power wire while it was loose? :B
    I did that once.

Uh, do you run a Vista? It does that sometimes XD

Like j_ said, it's probably something wrong with either your power supply or the cooling system.

As others have said, sounds like a power source or cooling system, but what computer do you have?

it's probally your fans not working or something to do with cooling system...

but...if a laptop it might be static...that same problem happend and it was static(on my laptop) and what i did was take out the battery and hold down the on button for about 2 mins...(to get rid of static) and put battery back in and try that...thanks!

I think it's the fan overheating.

Try propping it up with two books on each of the back corners and see if that lasts you for a while.
While you're doing that, call your provider or like the Best Buy's Geek Squad.

I'd say its either your cooling system overriding your computer in the midst of overheating (Xbox 360 owners, you know EXACTLY what I mean.) or your power supply overloading itself.

    ...

    Possible solutions:

    1. New Power Supply (I know how these things work. Most likely an overload, try a different voltage cord.)
    2. New motherboard, as Patchisou Yutohru said. Even these things overload (Not overHEAT, overLOAD).
    3. Your cooling system. Most likely your computer overriding the OS because the HardDrive (the big case like thing, that says "Dell" or "(insert company here)" and has the "on/off" button.)
is overheating. The only way to correct this is to not use it for around 5 or so days (probably less.) and install a new cooling system.

please tell me more informtion about your computer.
