I think its about time Ash caught another Fighting type

    Im thinking he should get a tyrogue and evolve it to a hitmonlee
    im telling ya. its about time
     
    A Hitmonlee is far too offbeat for Ash's team of overpowered midgits.

    I mean, I doubt many people remember Primeape (I barely do), and Heracross' personality is a joke, in every sense of the word. (It's a potent battler, though, and certainly one of Ash's best.)

    If anything, I can see him getting Monferno or Infernape from the evolution of Chimchar.

    But attempting to imagine something like Machamp, Lucario, or Medicham standing next to Ash just feels awkward, like you put that puzzle piece in the wrong place because you forced it there.
     
    yeh, if you look at ash's team, all his pokemon are almost always ones that make you say 'aawwww' or 'LOL' rather than 'OMG!'

    hope you got the meaning of that, my point is that the fighting type (generally) doesn't fit ash's style. ig he ever gets a fight-type again,it will be either a monferno/infernape or riolu/lucario
     
    What about brock???

    Brock seems to be having baby pokemon i think i could picture him with a tyrogue, teaching it how to fight and stuff. But hell be going through all of the new babies first, and if he got a tyrogue, itd probably turn into a hitmontop
     
    picturing brok with a tyrogue I can see that...but if ash had to get another fighting type it might be monferno/infernape and/or riolu.....that's what I would have to say...
    and I just cannot see ash owning a hitmonlee...srry
     
    That makes sense, Mantis. Brock getting a Hitmontop seems logical...And really cool, because Hitmontop is the win. :]
     
    I feel as Ash should get a more "intimidating" team. Like what alie said, his pokemon acts too cute >_>

    As for brock, he should get a primape. It sort of fits him, sinceh he's a breeder and dealt with many pokemon that had a bunch of problems.
     
    Well if you think about it Ash alredy has 6 pokemon which all play an important part so i do not think he will catch another one if he is going to get another fighting pokemon it would just be a monferno

    yeah he should get a more intimidating team
    most of his pokemondont evolve and they do act to cute

    also when they get hurt its way too dramatic
    like wat is this a soap opera
    especially in movies

    i think monferno would be ashes fighting type if he evolves
    cause he doesnt evolve a lot of his pokemon
     
    Ash never gets psychic types or fighting types anymore since he sucks so badly, Nintendo just don't want him to have any generally strong pokemon.
     
    Ash's Pokemon is a big reason why I don't watch the show, the other being that it sucks.
     
    I wouldn't argue against Satoshi getting a Fighting-type. But I would much rather him get a Dark, Ghost, or a Dragon. Note that he never caught Haunter. He's already shown that he could have strong pokémon, contrary to popular belief, such as Lizard. On the other hand, I don't see a problem with his teams up to date.

    Ash's chimchar evolving sounds more logical. That will give Buizel someone to spar with seeing as to his fighting spirit sometimes is unfulfilled with the other members of the gang. Monferno and Buizel sparring seems pretty cool in my book.
     
    I assume a reason for Ash's Pokemon not evolving is probably a part of the show directed towards children or something..
    Like, they want to be able to show that the underdog can come out on top, and that one doesn't need to change themselves to be a better being.

    For example - When Bulbasaur refused to evolve, it stated that it didn't want to evolve because it was strong just the way it was.
    And I guess it's nice that Ash doesn't pressure them to evolve, or get upset that they don't evolve, and that he accepts his Pokemon just the way they are, and makes them strong just as they are.
    That or they just want to keep cute Pokemon because it attracts more kids.. ?

    Anyway.. back on topic.
    I think Ash with a fighting type would seem a little out of place. That's probably why they didn't keep Primape around for too long..
    Maybe when he gets older it might suit him, but he will always and forever be "ten years old".. and for some reason due to that it seems that the more "cute" and unevolved Pokemon seem to suit him better.
