I wish smoking wasn't habit forming.

You probably already know about E-Cigarettes, but in case you haven't, I think you'll find this quite interesting:

I wonder if it really is healthy?
What do you guys think?

I did hear about that a while ago. I think it's a really cool idea, but It's still very vague about what exactly it's doing. I think I'd wait a bit before trying it out.

My dad was a heavy smoker in his 20s, and I'm pretty sure that affected me somehow. lol I'm forced to inhale second-hand smoke everyday when I walk to school because I have to walk through the Smoker's Pit (a place where it's legal to smoke, apparently), and it's seriously nasty there. If you're not careful, cigarette butts will stick to your shoes. :S Even worse is that sometimes the kids (yeah, there are kids who smoke there because school is close) don't put their cigarettes out properly.

In my school, I've been forced to sit next to a smoker. You can actually smell smoke from their mouth and clothes. Eeww. I hope I never sink low and smoke cigarettes in the future (to cope with stress).

Smoking makes you look like a pure retard. Everytime I see someone smoking I picture someone on PC posting with the name "LOLJKHAI" saying "OMG ME LYK BRETH SMK"

Smoking cool? well you really need to think that again...
what's cool about doing nothing else but die? what does the cigar give you? less stress? get laid! what the hell....seriously it's sad that people still think that smoking is cool...society...*sigh*

Smoking is never in my choice of options. We all know of the consequences of smoking, and still many people smokes because they look "mature" or "manly" or anything like it. The irony.

But if smoking isn't a beguiling habit, some country's economy would fall apart. To smoke or not to smoke? Some dilemna.

Whats so cool about something white filled with all of this crap hanging out of your mouth? I think it looks pretty disgusting. I have friends that smoke but never around me because they know I don't like it ans it's only a few.

So an older friend of mine was telling me about how he quit smoking with e cigarettes, they're still not safe as they're habit forming and still have SOME of the toxins in normal cigarettes.

Although
Toxins in normal cigarettes: 211
Toxins in electric cigarettes: 6

Huge difference there. What it does is it gives you your nicotine without most of the toxins and tar and junk. Albeit, it's still habit forming so i'm still staying away from it, but it's a pretty safe thing. You don't exhale smoke, you exhale water vapor. Really cool. Makes it easier to quit.

Same.

It's still has toxins(even though it's 6) that can build up in your body over time. Better to quit instantly than having an alternative.

Quitting an addiction instantly is nearly impossible for most people, I say it's better to take it slow. Maybe throw out your pack of regular cigarettes, buy the electric ones, and limit yourself to how many you can smoke a day. Tighten the limit every couple weeks or so, and eventually give it up altogether. I advocate the safer substitute without question, especially when there are people who just don't want to give up smoking.
