6th Gen Ideas for all BUG team

Ok, so I want to make an all bug team. Bug is, rather unfortunately, my favourite type and I've always wanted to make a well rounded team (if that even exists) which would obviously need to consist of dual types, but that's fine. So aside from "DON'T DO IT" or "DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME"... Any recommendations for a good team of 6 bugs who would complement each other well. Yes, I have Genesect and is almost a certain inclusion, so maybe just select 5 if you struggle for a 6th. I'm not doing serious battling or whatever, I just plan on putting the team into Hall of Fame asap.

Personally my all bug team would be something like Beedrill, Parasect, Wormadam, Yanmega, Galvantula, Crustle. It's a little on the weak side with 5 fire weaknesses (and one, possibly two, double weaknesses) but personally I tend to steer clear of legenaries - obviously if you wanted to include legendaries you'd be free to add Genesect and Volcorona which would greatly improve your roster.

If you have access to Volcarona that seems like a must have to me. Venomoth, Heracross, Scizor, Forretress and Shuckle are some other options to consider.

Nice. Yeah I think you're both right on the Volcarona advice, will have to make room for it me thinks. Never been that much of a fan of standard Volcarona, but shiny version is much improved IMO so might have to set the bar higher and try for a shiny somehow. Same goes for Heracross; would love a shiny version. I like Venomoth suggestion too, didn't really consider before. Thanks for the input!

If I might chip in my two cents here...

Venomoth: Alright stats. Gets Sleep Powder and Quiver Dance, and if you feel like breeding, Giga Drain and Baton Pass (although if you wait, you can teach it Energy Ball; either way, something for Rock types).

Scizor: Great physical attacker, being able to power up its Bullet Punch with Technician. Its Mega Evolution is pretty good, too.

Galvantula: Compoundeyes gives Thunder a whopping 91% accuracy, and it gets Sucker Punch for a good priority move, too.

Vivillon: Basically an enhanced Venomoth. No Baton Pass/Giga Drain, but you get Compoundeyes, for a ~97% Sleep Powder and 91% Hurricane.

Other than those, I'm not sure. Heracross isn't too bad, and its Mega Evolution lets it use moves like Bullet Seed and Rock Blast to great effect. Volcarona is a really good Pokemon, but it evolves so late that you'll probably be near the end of the game by the time it actually evolves!

BTW, are you going to be catching these Pokemon as you progress in the game, trading them in as eggs at the beginning...? Are you gonna trade in Mega Stones?

A Crustle or an Armaldo may be of use, since they're neutral to Fire (and have Rock for supereffective damage) and there's a Fire type E4 member

You can't go wrong with Shiny Mothim!

It needs a little more love in order to deal with opposing Pokémon (even during your play-through), but those colors are totally worth it! <3

Wow that's great advice Ammy, thanks so much, a lot to consider there and it's got me thinking more now. I've finished the game ages ago, just training up a special team is all. I'll trade or breed whatever I need, I got the time so don't care (over 700 hours playing X so far). Don't know if I will bother trading megastores in, see how it goes.

I'm strongly considering Armaldo because of the neutrality to fire and I love it's shiny design. Thanks.

Shiny mothim is gorgeous! I've been looking for one for a while now believe me!!

Thanks again for the input everyone :)
