[Theory] Ideas for 'Reds' for each generation

    I've been playing around with making my own Pokemon game, (not important to the post), and one of the things that I've looked at doing is creating a tournament where the player fights the protagonists from each game, analogous to red from GSC/HgSS. I've come up with ideas for Gold and May. And I'd like to see what other people come up with.

    Hey you can add some anime characters as well with the game character then people can really find out in battle who is better ash or red
     
    Maybe Sudawoodo for Gold? Since Red has the Snorlax that blocks the path, maybe Gold could have Sudawoodo. And Kecleon for May while we're at it!
     
    Gift Pokemon should be included. Maybe fossils. No Togetic/Togekiss for Gold?
