Suppose that Pokemon attacked humans, would they be able to win against our tanks and technology?ALSO mention some moves that would be pretty powerful and that could take out many people at once, but not legendary ones.

    Yes, and quite easily
Porygons (and family) would invade our computer system, discovering and messing up our strategy and info
And from then, it's sweepers gonna sweep and tankers gonna tank ...

I think I have seen same thread before. But anyway it's hard to know. We don't know which Pokémon takes lethal damage from bullets and missiles and which will survive if anyone at least will survive. Pokémon's moves are strong and many of them would be lethal.

    This may be contradictory thread.

Well, I guess humans have a good chance of winning, although Pokemon with moves such as Fissure, Earthquake, and Explosion, would be pretty hazardous, which evens out the playing fields. Really depends on the Pokemon which attack, and how we retaliate. I'd go with Pokemon.

Well, I mean absolutely no disrespect to the thread creator, but if taken literally, the amount of pokemon you can experience are absolutely infinite in game, so automatically they would overpower human resources - as we know them, since in real life we have a few billion, and in game we have...probably less than 300.

If you consider that the amount of pokemon is literally infinite in game, than obviously humans have no chance. However if you consider pokemon to have anything less than infinite forces, humans would probably win, as they have the technology to capture pokemon, and therefore likely have the technology to eliminate pokemon completely.

But if you consider pokemon's population to be infinite, as it is to an in game adventurer, no human has ever taken on something which exists on an infinite level. Even if we started a war with every star in our galaxy, the number would not be infinite.

So, to go on the tangent of infinity, if we had weapons and forces, to take out an infinite amount of pokemon...that would still be no match for an infinite amount of pokemon...it would be a stale mate... interesting question!

As humans we have enough munitions to destroy the world many times over, so we win lol.

In real life a Pokémon could not be bullet proof, much less resistant to other form of firepower we could be tossing at them. Even the heavily armored Pokémon simply couldn't move under their own weight if they were built that solid.

This. Since most of today's tech and several warfare info are stored on computer, Pory could wage a technological war with us. And they will win.

Well just take that there are some millions of them.I mean there are around 600 species of Pokemon and there isn't just one of each species. How many animals are there in the world?Something like that.
Okay most Pokemon wouldn't be bulletproof but those steel types or even some others like cloyster would be pretty durable and could even resist several bullets or cannon fire or evem bombs. Can you imagine a Steelix or Aggron or even Forretress dying from a bullet? I can't u.u
As for the fire resistance I imagine Dragon-type Pokemon as being cold blooded reptiles to prefer warmer temperatures and to have such a skin where fire needs higher than normal temperatures and longer to burn it.Water types would also have a more humid and moisturized skin with a thin layer of water particles on it so fire wouldn't be effective.Like if you are soaked wet can you still take fire?

And also there would be many Pokemon attacks that could be devastating.Imagine many dragonites all at once flying and using Draco Meteor,Twister or Hurricane.New York would be erased from the maps in one night. Just think of that.

As for the Porygon thing...Isn't the Porygon family human made?

Miltank and Blissey will out-tank our tanks and all the ubers and OUs will take out everything. And besides, who would be so cruel to shoot a baby Pokemon? :<

The Porygon family can also give the enemy team seizures.

Anyways, I think using a Poison tactical strategy would be a good idea. So Big Pokemon such as Nidoking and Rhyperior using Poison Jab or Pokemon using Toxic Spikes such as Drapion.

Let's open this up a bit more since everyone seems to be agreeing with each other - if we were in this situation, what would you recommend the human world did to defend themselves against Pokemon? Even if you don't think humans could win, what would be the best course of action for maximum survival chances?

I personally think the best plan of action would be to kind of...manipulate the less violent Pokemon. I'm sure some wouldn't agree with the war, and would agree to use Sleep Powder or something to keep the more violent ones at bay, and then people could attack them with no repercussions. Or just collect the sleep powder and use it yourself, because once the non-violent Pokemon saw you being violent as well I doubt they'd want to help anymore.

Haha Klave I don't think that Blissey and Miltank would be as effective as tanks but I am still sure that they would be pretty durable and hard to take down(Especially Blissey since she has a great HP,and don't look at her defense. It's just there for the sake of the game 'cause something with all that HP and both defenses going crazy along with an instant recovery move would be more than uber..I mean the way she is portrayed, she has less defense than a caterpie or a small, tiny azurill.Wtf? She would split into 2 pieces like an egg *no pun* with just a poke). They would need many many bullets and generally damage to get killed.

    Anyway,

Toujours :DD I am so happy you replied. I think that your idea sounds somewhat logical but then again it makes some Pokemon look silly.I mean they would get tricked by humans into believing that we are peaceful when the only reason we would be doing that would be to gather their sleep-inducing pollen and use it to our advantage. And I don't think that many Pokemon would be peaceful and non-violent.But for the sake of my thread,I just wanna clear up that by war I actually meant invasion. Why that?Let's just say that Pokerus got mutated and it made every Pokemon alive hostile to anything living that isn't like them(And by them I mean not a Pokemon). So they would turn against animals(which would just take around a day only) and then us.
Another question is that why would they use Sleep Powder on their species and not on humans? The 'violent' Pokemon from their side would be their fighters so by making them fall asleep they would be pretty much doomed a nobody could fight us.

Just continue that by keeping in mind that ALL Pokemon would be hostile.Like an alien invasion?! ;p

It's against some Pokemon's nature,I know, but it would be basically against their will. The virus is to be blamed ;p

Oh and Gosuto if Nidoking or Rhyperior used Poison Jab on someone that person wouldn't live long enough to suffer poisoning hehe..It would be like Horn Attack..Poison Jab would be more effective on smaller Pokemon such us Toxicroak or croagunk or ariados etc

In case of Pokemon invasion what Pokemon would you be most afraid of?

Like, which Pokemon would you worry about mostly because it is dangerous and which one would concern you the least?

I would worry about Dragonite and Dragonair since they are big, powerful Dragons. And dragon-type pkmn control the basic elements just fine.Imagine a big army with tanks and all trying to fight just one huge Dragonite.Next second, the sky turns bright and tremendous meteors fall down burning and destroying everything.Next comes a nasty thunderstorm with lightnings and tornadoes and hurricanes, followed by a tsunami(any wave over 4m is considered a tsunami). And they can even cause a blizzard since they control the weather....It's something similar to Storm from X-MEN.

I wouldn't worry at all about Igglybuff,Magikarp,Feebas,Happiny,Cleffa,Azurill and maybe Caterpie(although it could spread panic and potentially casualties if it visited a house where a family was watching tv and eating cheesy potatoes). These would be pretty much defenseless and a human could take on them quite easily(except maybe caterpie and cleffa since its a magical creature and it learns metronome).
    And yes,Wigglytuff would be dangerous.

I would be frigthened of pokemon like Scizor and Kabutops who have sharp pincers. They could chop you in half!

I would be more afraid of Pokemon that can harm me with their poison like capabilities. Such as a Pokemon that can learn Poison Jab or Toxic. I'll rather get hit with a punch than a punch that can seriously poison me and then kill me.

For the first topic I posted in. (Since they aren't completly similar)

    Magikarp
Well that kind of depends on how you look at things. I would probably be afraid of all the incredibly big and powerful Pokémon. For example legendaries like Groudon and Kyogre, or Dragon type Pokémon, as they would have big chances of easily overpowering you. Looking at reality I don't think Pokémon would be as friendly as they are in the anime, which would bring me to fear those kinds of Pokémon.

But if we're talking about dominant fears here, like Misty's fear for bug types, I would probably have it the same way as her. I'm not very fond of bugs, so imagining as big as they are in the Pokémon world isn't very appealing to me. I'm especially afraid of spiders, (sorry for sounding like a wuss lol) so as much as I like Spinarak as a Pokémon, I would be scared senseless of it if it was to be real S_S

    For this actual topic

Well that's hard to tell considering we don't know what effect real weapons actually have on Pokémon. But then again, considering attacks like Earthquake and Hyperbeam easily could take out lots of people in an instant, I guess the Pokémon would have the biggest chance winning.

Also the attacks I mentioned would probably the most dangerous imo, except for some attacks exclusive to legendaries.

Going to merge this with the thread you just made a few days ago about this exact topic of Pokemon invasion.

This is your warning; don't make any threads on the same topic until the other one is dead. If you're not sure if it's too close, PM me and I'll be happy to tell you.

Some Pokemon, Like Bastiodon is a tank so fire missiles at him and he'd be like "Meh.."
and then use Take Down or something and totally destroy a tank
