Note: for those of you who have noticed, this team is all nicknamed after songs written by Green Day. Don;t comment on that.
Srsly, I wish pokemon were real. Why, you ask? So we can beat up annoying kids at high school who try to Egg Bomb innocent little freshmen at rallies. Anyways, I made this team to crush opposing teams and seniors with my favorite strategy: offense that can make a little defensive appearance.
Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Jolly Nature
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 252 SpD
Seed Bomb
Spore
Substitute
Focus Punch
This guy is my favorite lead of all time. The SubSporePuncher works wonders as a lead, not only able to spore out most leads besides weavile and the ever annoying birds, but can drop back behind a sub and paunch away. I gave it max speed and +Speed Nature to ensure that it doesn't get beaten out by non-scarfed mid-speed leads.
Welcome to Paradise
Swampert @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
116 HP/ 252 Atk/ 142 Defense
Waterfall
Avalanche
Rest
Earthquake/ Sleep Talk
This guy is my defensove backbone. Normally, he comes in and is able to take attacks, then with his max attack EVs, comes back with Avalanche or Waterfall, a 2-type move combo that isn't resist by anything, not even Levitate users. I'm not sure whether to put EQ in there for a secondary STAB, or Sleep Talk to back up Rest.
Holiday
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Jolly Nature
6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Draco Meteor
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Fire Punch
Scarfgon is a very good revenge killer in the metagame, and can destroy incoming physical walls with Draco Meteor. Dragon Claw and EQ gives another powerful double STAB combo, while Fire Punch gives great coverage.
Dookiee
Suicune @ Leftovers
Modest Nature
105 Sp. Atk/ 152 Speed /252 HP
Calm Mind
Substitute
Surf
Ice Beam
Suicune does the same thing as Swampert's offense does on the special side. Calm Mind is there for setting up a potential sweep.
American Idiot
Porygon-Z @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
Download
252 Spe/ 252 Spa/ 6 HP
Thunderbolt
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Ice Beam
Well, since Porygon-2 goes all weird and evolves into this, America deserves to get this guy named after it. On the positive side, Porygon-Z can make a very nice special sweep after a boost, and Life Orb helps with that.
Brain Stew
Kingdra @ Leftovers
Sniper
Modest
Dragon Pulse
Yawn
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Kingdra is there for 2 reasons: give status, and pound opponents. As many ppl say, a good sweeper team needs more Kingdra on it. Kingdra here acts as a backup special sweeper and works great if American Idiot falls below the charts.
Things about this team that could use some help on:
-2 out of my 3 physical attackers are not all-out atackers, as Breloom needs set-up time, and Pert abosrbs status for my team while dishing out massive damage.
- I feel Like Porygon-Z is starting to become sort of a dead weight on my team, as he doesn't do much with Kingdra in there.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I BUILT THIS TEAM TO MAKE IT NEUTRAL TO SR/ SPIKES. PLEASE TRY TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.
