If Pokemon were real, what kind of rules/laws would there be?

    I know this sounds similar to many other "What if Pokemon were real?" topics, but instead of being general about what the world would be like were they to exist, this is specifically about, what kinds of rules/regulations do you think would be imposed if they did exist. For example:

    I think for one, there would be a law that all domesticated Pokemon could only be in their first evolution unless you had a license and a ranch/farm etc.

    I also think you'd have to be 18+ to adopt one.

    Contrary to the anime, I firmly believe Pokemon battling would be outlawed.

    Unless it was a Pokemon that could only use defensive moves such as Metapod and harden Pokemon would not be allowed on planes or trains.
     
    Well the first rule wud definately be NO TEN YEAR OLDS!!!! :p
    And wud probably be illegal, look at some of those pokemon! They'll be used in the next form of terrorism!!!
     
    As for pokemon battling, it depends how sentient pokemon are. If they have the choice and they choose to want to battle with trainers, then I think pokemon battling could be allowed (with protest from some, I'd say.) There would be many anti-poaching/hunting laws in place, rightly, and possibly a firearm ban.
     
    The 10 Pokémon Amendments
    1st: Freedom of Pokémon choice
    2nd: Right to own Pokémon
    3rd: Freedom of not owning Pokémon if you so choose
    4th: Prohibits unreasonable search of PokéBalls
    5th: Protects the right to choose not to battle
    6th: The right to have a fair battle, not Tyranitar vs. Pichu, etc.
    7th: Right to ask for a battle
    8th: Right to recieve money after winning a fair battle according to the 6th Amendment
    9th: Prohibits unfair double battles
    10th: Prohibits non-licensed Gym Leaders

    Battling Pokemon would not be outlawed. I have several reasons:
    1. Pokemon have powers that could relatively destroy a building. Some of them are ferocious and I don't think firearm will do no good against them. So it come to my mind that battling wild Pokemon is legal only if the wild Pokemon attack you first.
    2. I firmly believes that pokemon battle is pretty much popular. So, pokemon league battle will occasionally being broadcasted nation wide or even worldwide. This include gym battle, tournament like battle subway and battle towe and E4 battle. From sponsorship, broadcast right and such, it will be enough to make pokemon center free of charge.

    I've some another opinion of course
    Champion battle is split into two mode: one is a match for honorary champion title. Such as we did in the main game. It is common for champion to hold back in these match. The other one is Title Match. in this kind of match, if the champion lose, they must give their title to the one that defeat them.
     
    Yeah... I really can't see how people can start training Pokemon at 10-years-old. Presumably, the age of consent is also the time when you can go off onto your little journey and become the Champion and whatnot: so, between 16-18? (Haven't the little blighters got school as well? What sort of crazy parent lets their child skip school to go off and get themselves nearly killed and have their money taken from them by strangers? It's a weird, weird world out there!)
     
    I think ANYONE would be alowed to own a pokemon.
    Battling would be 18+
    Its not like everyone would have a sick pokemon, think about the pokemon anime, there is only one Lugia, and that mofo would probly kill you if you tried to catch it.
    So battling would be fine, in designated battling areas/gyms.
    Breeders would make ALOT of money.

    Did you not remember that Alder once lose his pokemon because sickness?
    Catching or even disturb legendary pokemon will be prohibited since it will cause much destruction and misuse by irresponsible person.

    I'm pretty sure in old time pokemon are used as tools of war. I think using pokemon as tool of war will be probihited should be included in an international amendment

    Pokemon battling would definitely be outlawed.

    I think there would be epic fights/wars over Legendary Pokemon or the Legendaries would be worshiped like gods. I mean, every nation would want a legendary Pokemon to keep their nation safe.
