If you could change anything to make Pokémon better what would it be?

People might not agree with me on on this one, but I find I like Pokemon better with as least story as possible. Imo none of the stories have been good and I don't really care about anything besides my Pokemon and facing actual challenges. I wish more was put into exploration and battling ultimately.

The problem is they keep halfassing the story lol. I'd love one with none at all (that wasn't a spinoff) or an amazing one, either way.

1. Retire short timeframes between main series releases.

Sword & Shield have become quite evident that yearly releases are harming the quality of the franchise. Nobody should be paying $60 for a mainstream game that has even less Pokémon and attacks on a powerful pricey console than the handheld generations, on top with some laughably bad visual errors.

2. Extend the length of Generations

To accommodate game development time to meet acceptable quality standards for a Switch game, each generation should last at least 4 - 5 years with over 100 new Pokémon to grow fond of.

3. DLCs
While a controversial aspect of gaming, it does have it's uses.

If less Pokémon and moves are going to be the norm nowadays, the remainder must be implemented into the game as DLC over the course of at least two years between main series titles.

By continuing to omit over half the core content, it just makes Lysandre an even bigger role models and meme on par with Thanos from the MCU.

Allowing Pokemon to be able to be Confused, Asleep, Poisoned.. burnt... etc all at once.
