I would change it to a deeper plot. I mean, Ash's goal is to collect badges right? Everytime he fights a Gym Leader, Team ROcket comes in and destroys teh Gym. Ash saves the gym and he gets a badge. Sound familiar? And also EVERY SINGLE EPISODE Team Rocket appears with some nifty gadget to steal Pikachu, like, How many times have you heard Pika-Proof in the anime?

Team Rocket with ONE Mission, to steal a Pikachu... -_-. You know what they could do? Actually steal some Pok?mon other than Pikachu. So er, a list of things that I would change

Gym Battles
Have an actual battle, without getting interfered with Team Rocket.

Steal some Pok?mon, give up on Pikachu. And get a life too.

Start realising who's that under the disguise...

Have you even seen most of the Johto and Hoenn Gym battles? o_O The Rocket Gang have barely interuppted ANY Gym Battles. And when they do, Satoshi and the Gym Leader(s) continue the match. He has not earned any badges by simply saving the Gym like he did in Kanto.

Sound familiar? And also EVERY SINGLE EPISODE Team Rocket appears with some nifty gadget to steal Pikachu, like, How many times have you heard Pika-Proof in the anime?

C'mon, it's Pikachu. They HAVE to take some precautions.

Not true. If you actually watch, you'd see Meowth has his little fantasies of what their boss could do with a certain Pok?mon they have their eyes on for the week. They focus on Pikachu mainly, but they do have plans on stealing other Pok?mon. Just this week they didn't bother with Pikachu and attempted to catch Mawile instead.

Gym Battles

Actually watch AG and you'd see that it doesn't happen.

It may be obvious to us, but not the rest of the world. That's like asking why no one notices that Superman is Clark Kent without the glasses.l

Last time he did that was when he gave Beedrill to Casey. All of his Johto Pok?mon were left behind at Oak's Lab, Bulbasaur as well, Squirtle is in the care of Officer Jenny while he leads the Squirtle Gang, Charizard is currently training himself at the Charizard Valley (AND IS STILL HIS), and so forth. When was the last time he said "NO DON'T EVOLVE"? It has to happen naturally. This isn't the game where tons of battles = spontaneous evolution. Had that been true, Squirtle and Totodile would have evolved long ago. They're fine as is. They don't need to evolve. Evolution does not mean they become better. This isn't the games. :\

My ONLY problem that I wish they'd fix is to improve the **** tournaments. They rush the hell out of them, focusing only on Satoshi's matches and gave him the same battles. Win some, lose some, meet a new guy that he befriends, then he battles him and loses to him, then we see 10 seconds of the rival's battle and he loses. Lame. Give us some freakin' character development. I wanna know who the important people are that he's battling. I wanna see ALL of their progress. Make me give a **** about them rather than me see them for just one episode. We never got to see what happened to Moe and Jun'ichi. I'd have liked to have seen Hazuki's match when he didn't use Blaziken. Give us some developments like YuYu Hakusho's Dark Tournament did.

1: Let's start with Team Rocket. They are now in episodes with Gym battles for one reason: To waste Time. They have been just digging tunnels or delaying the characters to fill a 21-minute episode.

League Battles: Team Rocket spends on average a third of any one League Battle on the sidelines selling things. A 3-episode battle could easily be whittled down to 2 episodes just by removing them from the episodes.

How the Anime should change this: Either remove or use some tact on Team Rocket. Know when it would be funny to see them and when it would just be downright irritating.

2: Getting too redundant.

First, I'd like to introduce you to the pattern of Pokemon's storyline for each Generation. It is ten unchanging steps, not counting the Orange miniseries, which we have come to know as:

The Ten Commandments of Pokemon

1: Ash sees Ho-Oh fly to a new Region.
2: Team Rocket Attacks.
3: Ash goes to new Region.
4: Team Rocket Attacks.
5: Ash wins 8 Badges.
6: Team Rocket digs holes or takes up time.
7: Ash enters League.
8: Team Rocket sells things or takes up time.
9: Ash wins/loses the League.
10: Ho-Oh is seen flying to the next Region.
Repeat once per Generation.

This is the general outline of each Generation of Pokemon. It hasn't changed in the years it has been on. It ALWAYS retains these ten 'commandments'. You know why? Because TEN SOUNDS OFFICIAL! It sounds important, top ten, ten most wanted, ten steps etc, etc...

I managed to keep this list intact for series length, but I have also altered all of these 'commandments' to be more workable and age friendly to our teenage audience.

Now, I'm going to skip around a bit to try and make this easier to explain.

1: Ash sees Ho-Oh fly to a new Region.
10: Ho-Oh is seen flying to the next Region.

Both of these, right off the bat, pure and utter crap. Ho-Oh, creator of Legendaries, Beginning and End, Alpha and Omega = 1 word, religious reference. Spooky Language. Bad thing. We get rid of the whole Ho-Oh thing.

2: Team Rocket Attacks.
4: Team Rocket Attacks.
6: Team Rocket digs holes or takes up time.
8: Team Rocket sells things or takes up time.

Once is cute. Twice is... bearable. Three times is... WTF! I swear to God (Ho-Oh), if they don't reduce the frequency of them showing up, I'm going to kill the three! We get rid of ALL BUT 1 of these. All but 1. That's all you need. A fourth of the frequency still makes it funny. Eliminate their Gym and League Appearences. Now the show's getting better, and the fights are getting longer. Speaking of Gyms and Leagues...

5: Ash wins 8 Badges.
7: Ash enters League.
9: Ash wins/loses the League.

Sigh. It was fun for the first two Generations. Now it's getting retarded. It's just retelling the same story over and over again. The only thing that really changes is the Pokemon. You could really throw these three out and put in some main enemy with severe twists in the show.

3: Ash goes to new Region.

This one is still useful. But when you think about it, going to a new Region doesn't have to be that big a deal. I mean, we all know how big Earth is, and I'm sure the characters know how big their world is. So, you could make it part of the same series and get rid of the...

Repeat once per Generation.

I've taken apart this list and put it back together in the fashion I think Pokemon should follow. I believe it should have a more serious storyline with a truly evil SOB of an enemy that actually WANTS to kill the characters and take over the world. He could even be a really powerful Pokemon that all the Legendaries have to unite to stop. Then something cool could happen at the end that changes the balance of power, like Pikachu evolving into a Legendary Pokemon that has never been discovered before.

So, with that in mind, I give you:

SBaby's Ten Commandments of Pokemon

1: An ancient evil that was sealed away revives.

2: A new Team recruits said Evil, which is using them to get its full power.

3: MewTwo shows up and tells Ash to meet with someone.

4: That someone is Jirachi or another Legendary that tells Ash he has to stop the Evil.

5: Ash goes on a journey to unite all the Legendary Pokemon.

6: Gathering all the Legendaries, Ash and the gang face the Evil in his Base, as Team Rocket watches.

7: Despite their efforts, the Legendaries are no match for said Evil.

8: The Evil begins picking off characters one by one.

9: Pikachu suddenly evolves into Manachu and opens a can of whoopass on the Evil.

10: Evil dead, everyone escapes the crumbling fortress and the ending happens.

I'd add a character with a dark and mysterious background [and is overall scary] who makes appearances and uses Pok?mon that are not found anywhere in the Pok?mon universe [I.E. in the games, Anime, manga, whatever] and whips people like Team Rocket with Prisim Tanks or InterDimentional Fighter Planes or something, and his superpowerful Pok?mon, of course.

But that's just me.

And yes, I was talking about the kind of character I'd be if I were in Pok?mon.

Well, if you people haven't known yet, Oni is one of those people who stopped watching the anime a long time ago because he got tired of the plot...

so...if I could change the anime...

Plot:
Well, the plot is the main reason why I stopped watching the anime and called it the "kiddie show" for a certain period of time. There should be something interesting besides the fact that there's these three antagonist trying to steal a yellow mouse so relentlessly. The producers should at least take a risk and change the camera view to another character and make Satoshi appear maybe once in a while.

Antagonist:
The antagonizing Team Rocket is getting boring. Yes, yes, they want to steal that Pikachu but could they at least go for bigger goals such as going to other places and capturing other Pokemon? If they were the Most Wanted before, couldn't they at least go back to that form of being notorious.

The "cameo" of the talking Pipi:
I couldn't believe the producers made the talking Pipi go to the anime. I could not simple believe it. I mean...of all the mangas. Why the talking Pipi? WHY? There are tons of Pocket Monsters Characters out there...and then...TALKING PIPI? Why not Yellow? Why not Blue? Why not Hazel? Why not Almond? =_=;;

Character:
Oh my...over 300 episodes and I haven't seen a bit of character development on Satoshi. Except the fact that he is getting better at battles and that he still cares for his Pokemon and that he will always wuv them, Satoshi is remaining static. Not a tinsy winsy bit. If I could compare Red's (Pocket Monster Special) character development with Satoshi...well...meh...

That's just me...

otherwise, I'd just give the anime a conclusive end and make Pocket Monster Special into an anime... Yellow-chan in living color! >=D *glomps Yellow*

1. Get everyone a happy ending and start on a clean slate.

Plot:
For god's sake, the plot and all is hackneyed. If you don't know what that word means, it means overused. I mean, come on, the Ash-Brock-?? mix is getting really old. Just start over a new chapter with new characters with new plots and new places.

Antagonists, enemies, and "evil people":
When can you stop on the yellow critter and actually go get something worth your salt...like a Dragonite? I mean, stop on Pikachu completely. As in I-don't-want-to-see-you-three-idiots-again.

Characters:
After all these years, episodes, and series, we would have known Ash down to his foot size, Misty to her cup, and Brock to his eyesight degrees, plus everybody's weight, height, blood type, horoscope, characteristics, and history. Why? Because they never change. Never. They behaved the same old way for all this time, without any variation whatsoever, and all this happened when they're at their teens too, when all the change could have happened.

Therefore, I side with Oni: Get some new plot, like Pokemon Special. Stop being a kiddie show, because this is defacing the name of not only Pokemon, but also anime.

Oni Flygon: While I agree with you on most parts, and I do, Ash/Satoshi's character HAS actually developed.

He used to be a complete moron about everything, but now he's actually got a grip on what he's doing, especially woth Pikachu. He knows EXACTLY what the yellow mouse can do and how much punishment he can take, and it's like that with alot of his Pokemon.

Ash is in no way the overconfident, arrogant moron he was when the show started. He's matured quite a bit in the three years he's been traveling.

Actually also, I don't remember the last time Team Rocket actually went after Pikachu. They seem to actually be more interested in the NPCs' Pokemon now than anything else... Meowth does his little 'Imagine da Boss' skits with each featured Pokemon now...

That said, I didn't realize Ash saw Suicune going to Johto. But, step 1 and 10 in the Ten Commandments of Pokemon are still the same general thing. Of course when it comes down to Ash and Ho-Oh, he will 'remember' seeing him fly to EVERY REGION, knowing the Anime.

The anime has gotten to predictable for me to watch anymore... I mean, I'm not gonna waste 1 full hour (they show 2 Episodes on WB) watching Ash walk around an get fooled by Team Rockets tricks over and over and watch them lose over and over. It gone to the point where I just know Pikachu and Ash will save the day is what will happen...

When is Team Rocket just gonna build a teleportation device by using an Abra, steal Pikachu and take off?

Why is Pikachu so strong no matter how skilled Ash's opponent is? Don't any of you find it extremely cheap and misleading?

When will Ash face someone, lose to he/she, rematch and lose again? Atleast it wouldn't make him look so unbeatable and show others that no one is perfect.

And why won't Ash and his friends age?
