If you could name more characters in the Pokemon games, would you?

I've never thought about it, to tell ya the truth. I guess I would.

I'm fine with just being able to name the rival, and myself obviously
 
Black and White are technically the first game you don't get to name the Rival depending on how you consider the Rival Status of Wally. You get to name the B2W2 Rival.
 
RSE was the first game that didn't let you name your rival, actually. Anyway, I have always wanted a Professor Poopy. I'd love to name one that. Professor Snape would be cool too.
 
When I played through Silver I button-bashed through his speech and ended up with him being called '???', I spent the whole game wondering when he'd reveal his name.
 
YES I WOULD especially the antagonists like ghetsis or n or something.

but i was INCREDIBLY pleased when i got to name silver. he's easily my favorite rival out of all the games and the possibilities of his names are endless (except for the character limit of course). i ended up calling him pickles, though. i still think it's a second-rate name compared to taco or something.

i was disappointed when i wasn't able to name lucas. i wanted to have a themed name thing with him, barry, and i. like romeo, paris, and juliet or something equally fun and that would make the game more exciting. i also couldn't name brendan, and i was very sad about that lmao.
 
No, actually I think that not choosing the protagonist name wouldn't even disturb me x)
When I can choose the rival name I always call him by his official name (Silver, Green,...), I prefer like that.
 
I dont think I would, I like the names that the other characters have. I only would like naming my rival.
 
Actually I would. I'd love to get my Pokemon from Professor G-Shizzle, foil the plans of the nefarious (Team) Boss Dr. Fluffypants, and have an epic showdown with Champion 404 Not Found. If only for the lulz. Or I'd name the evil team leader after someone I don't like.
 
I'd probably end up going with the default names in each case, if I'm being honest. The only character I ever really name is the protagonist, and even then I often choose one of the defaults if offered to me. If I got into it, I imagine I could come up with some good ones for various people... but I am very lazy when it comes to stuff like that! :D
