I'll probably blow it off in a week.

So how good or tolerable are you when it comes to money? If say, someone gives you a 5 dollar bill; would you save up that 5 dollar bill, or would you spend it immediately on candy or something?

In my case, I'm HORRIBLE with money, generally, I'd spend it right away, just rarely saving it in my debit card. Its just I'm really interested in video gaming, so...yeah. One and One fits together.

Would you see yourself on spending your money as much as possible, or would you save it?

I guess it depends on how much. Small amounts disappear fast, but I do need to make sure I save the big bucks for college, transportation, payments, etc.

I used to be terrible with money, but I've managed to improve over time through monitoring myself, and sheer willpower to buy a small, cheap coffee and sweeten it instead of getting that delicious, expensive mocha with whipped cream.

I usually can't find much to buy, so I tend to save a lot of my money.

But every once in a while, I''ll spend a couple bucks on some overpriced food at the mall or something. :]

I save up my money for things I want. I am not a compulsive spender like some people I know. I am waiting for BW and 3DS then I will start spending my money.

I don't 'save up' per se; there's just a lot of money I don't spend, not many things I want.

Usually, I don't spend it right away unless I've been planning to get something for awhile.
If I get about 5 bucks, I don't spend it on candy or snacks, I just leave it in my wallet to save for something I might need/want in the future.

I am the most stingy person you will meet. Whenever I spend money, even if it's not mine, I'm like, "OH GOD DID I WASTE IT" and like think about what I bought and look into the future to see if I'll use it much.
That said, I'm getting much more relaxed and comfortable spending money, but I still don't really like spending, so I generally just save everything.

$5 buys me a soda so that'll go in a heartbeat. Larger amounts like what I get for my birthday, Christmas will probably be put in the bank until I find something I want like a new book, game, CD, etc which is when I empty my account to buy it :3

Depends. I'm good about not blowing $100+ at a time, but I'm the kind of person that'll spend $5-20 every few days on food and not worry about it... I need to tighten my spending in that regard. Maybe I should make it a goal next year to budget better. *shrugs*

While I don't blow my money in big chunks like most big time spenders might, I do splurge from time to time on minor things I want. Not excessively or obsessively mind you, I always DO have my budget on my mind and tend to obey it fairly well by merely physically compartmentalizing money to be preserved outside of immediate sight in my wallet.

Where debit cards are concerned, I make it a point to always know my available balance and what amount it should be above by the end of day, and how much I will spend ultimately.

Still, when I do splurge, it's on something that's been sitting on my Want list for awhile.
Older items on that list are generally sought first, over newer and more impulsive wants which may drop off the list. First in, First Out based purely upon what my current budget will allow and what is available to me at the moment I decide to splurge.

It depends on how much and the cost of what I want.
...But I usually want to spend the money right away. ;P

I'm pretty good at saving money. The only time I really spend money is if my guitar amp breaks down and I have to get it fixed or uni textbooks or whatever. Very occasionally I'll be buying something like a guitar but since high school finished and I started working again I've just been saving non-stop. There's about $8000 worth of things I want to or need to buy (I made a list), just stuff like a yearly train ticket to get to uni, new cymbals for the drum kit or whatever. You can take about $1500 off that though, because a really good camera is more of a wishlist item than something I could realistically buy if I still want to get music equipment.

Even if I didn't have anything I wanted or needed to buy, I still have to save up for a deposit on a house.

I'm terrible with money. The burning a hole in my pocket theory is evident in my case. If I got money, I HAVE to spend it! Sure, there are moments where I put some money in my savings account, but I realize I have it in there and I have to spend it.

On the other hand, when it comes to saving for something big, that I'm good at. I usually set myself a target each week to save up until whatever I'm saving for comes by. Prime examples are Anime cons.

    Take your pick with me.

I'm not that good with money seeing as I blow it the day I get it. When I save up for something I take a fraction of it so I can spend it on something cheap.

I save up normally. Getting only $5 a week, I need to save up. Once I eventually have enough for something I want then I will spend, but noramally I never have enough money to buy stuff myself. Once I get a job though I just know I will go on frequent spending sprees. Though I want to save up to go overseas. Being only 1 of 5 in my year who has never been over seas, I really want to for Schoolies or something :)

Half would go straight to my savings at once. The other half may or may not follow afterwards.

Depends. If there's something I want to save up for, I'm pretty tolerant. Most of the time, I spend my cash on food ..and other edible stuff XD; Not that I'm a huge eating machine. I need to buy me food, when I get back from school ..if there's nothing in the kitchen. And books books books. Curriculum books and notepads. If I don't feel the necessity for the consumption of money, I save.

I tend to save up money than rather spend it quickly, but if it were to be a gift card I'll be spending that more quickly than cash. It seems I'm the only one who can actually manage money in the family without having to spend it so quickly and then end up with nothing left. I'm actually quite proud of myself not going along with my family's ways. :3
