4th Gen I'm Disappointed.

I'd hate to say it, but while you're entitled to your own rants about what you think it doing it wrong, I think that the fact that they're bending to our demands at all by giving us a GS remake is already a pretty compromise in itself. I mean, they could just go and make a completely new generation with brand-new shinies to make us jump and feed them money, but they're going back to old concepts, probably because they either:

A) Know we'd buy it either way.
B) Have heard us, looked at how we reacted to DPP, and said, "Okay, you keep begging for this, and you really like the fourth gen. So, how about we give you this GS remake, based on changes to the graphics and system we brought to DPP so you can stop asking us for that aforementioned GS remake?"

In other words, it feels like we'd be a bit spoiled if we demanded a GS remake and then said, "Wait. No. We don't like what you're doing. Do it like this, this, and this, or we won't buy it." Granted, if they did something particularly stupid like ruined the game system completely by somehow making everyone overpowered, that'd be one thing, but demanding that they color tiles correctly seems a bit too much.

'Course, it's your opinion, as you said. I'm just saying if it comes out, and it turns out it's not the way you had hoped, then maybe restarting your copy of GSC might be a better option.
 
The game hasn't even come out yet. How can you be disappointed with it? What you're saying is you're disappointed with the secondhand information you've read/heard about the game.

I personally am holding out hope that the Heart Gold/Soul Silver is a temporary, rough translation and they'll come up with better titles for the English release, but I suppose I'll get used to it if this isn't the case.
