"... well i can honestly say with my hand on my heart that i have not cheated..however..i HAVE used a Xploder device to get my hands on a jirachi and deoxies and a mew and a ho-oh but thats it.i think its alright using them to get ledgendaries isnt it?i plan to import the rest from my saved games on fire red/leafgreen so i still caught them..and the rest i can get from colleseum.whic hi still havnt played properly..but what do you guys think? ..."
If the question is "
Am I a cheater?", then the answer is yes. A cheater is "one who uses cheats". You used third party software to obtain pokémon which are not normally obtainable in the game, so technically you are a cheater. There's no way around it because it's a fact.
However... Whether being a cheater is bad or not depends on
how you cheated (no facts here, whether you're bad or not is all opinion).
In my opinion, I don't think what you did was all that bad, seeing as the pokémon you cheated were obtainable only through
Nintendo Events (with the exception of Jirachi who is obtainable through
PKMN Channel and Ho-oh who is obtainable through
PKMN Colleseum for the GCN). Mostly everyone who's posted in this thread and said you're a cheater don't have a problem with it. Like a few of them have stated, it's not you like you used cheats to gain access to unlimited
RARE CANDY or anything. Only a slight few people here actually have a problem with you cheating, barely any, and technically many people here are cheaters, so don't let it bother you if someone calls you a cheater.
*note: we have the right to modify our games for personal usage, making the use of hacking systems such as your Xploder device
legal, but
only for
personal usage. I would assume, then, that trading/using that pokémon in battles with another player would be
illegal. Of course, that doesn't mean you
can't... It just means doing this would be illegal, since you would have gone beyond that of personal usage...
