    If a mysterious man walked up too you and told you that you had a chance of being immortal, would you accept?

    And don't say no because it's a stranger. xD I want a nice, viable answer please.

    Much as I hate the concept of death, I'd probably say no. Because just as not existing scares me, existing forever isn't a pleasant thought either. Eventually, someone would figure out you're immortal, and then you'd get a whole line of people trying to kill you. Not fun.

    Edit: And, seriously, what's up with all the threads relating to death all of a sudden? xD

    I'd love to be immortal if I could stay at one age forever. I wouldn't wanna keep growing old and stop at like..old man age.

    But if I could just have my physical appearance grow to about 23, then stay there. That'd be sick. I'd just like...do fun stuff forever. XD;

    Also, depending on if I can die at all or I simply will live forever, I'd probably do ridiculously crazy stunts and earn millions of dollars on T.V. :D

    Probably no,
    Things will run out, i don't want to see people that i like dead, and then i would have to be on my own when the world stops, that would just be annoying, so i'd rather face death thanks :D

    I'd want to stay one age if I were immortal. I don't want to life the first 60 years of it being able to have fun and the rest of forever in a bed coughing out my organs. =[

    I'll say yes. I'll take the risk of being hunted down. Besides, if I get killed after centuries of living, I wouldn't really care, because I lived longer than a few generations and have seen many eras pasted me.

    It'd be cool, but I guess I'd be an emotionally pain-stricken person after a few years...decades...
    Because honestly, the longer you live the more obstacles you're probably face, and the longer you have to deal with them. Plus, I don't think you'll be able to be with your old friends.

    Being able to watch the world grow and eat itself would be an interesting thing to see.

    However, I would not like to see my loved ones around me die, and not be able to join them =[
    So, on the basis of being lonely...

    "No thank you Mr. Crazy Man!"

    If I stayed at one age of my choosing, then I'd say yes. But at the same time, it would be hard to become close to anyone if you stayed the same age. Plus, you'd have to watch your family die =/

    I'd reject. Immortality is more like a curse than a blessing. Watching your friends and family die. You could never have a lifelong friend since they would die too eventually. You would get very lonely eventually.

    I'd rather have a shorter fun life than a long boring one.

    Depends on which kind of immortality.

    Like That Hideous Strenght said, if I could stay at one age forever, then oh yeah, that'd be awesome. If not, then I'd refuse it immediatly.

    Would I sparkle in the sunlight?
    If so, I think I'll pass. ]x

    Buuuuut.
    Immorality is a no for me. It'd be pretty lonely to just watch the world pass by, not really looking forward to the future and whatnot.

    People you once loved would pass away, one by one. If you had any children at the time, you'd outlive them, even. O_______o

    Personally, I think it's just a lonely concept to live forever.

    I'm suprised by how many would accept.

    I would decline. Mainly because if you lived forever, you would outrun the human race (thus any kind of relationship with anyone), life on earth, and even the earth itself. You would be swallowed up by the sun, living in a fiery hell for millions of years, and still not dying. Then, when the gas of the sun is expelled, you would be living eternally in space, floating, with nothing, not even the warmth. The hell of the sun seems welcoming compared to the near absolute zero temperatures of space.

    And still, you don't die.

    You don't even have a choice to escape. That dreaded man... he has already left you. Infinity is a long time, people.

    So that's why I'd rather die than live forever.

    Hell no I wouldn't. That'd suck, even if you were fixed at one age. You'd watch countless people die, generation after generation, you'd get so tired of life after a certain number of years since you've probably tried everything there is to try knowing you're immortal. Not only that, but when the world ends, you'll just be your little self floating in space for eternity. Where's the fun in that!? ;;

    No. Who wants to be in everlasting pain forever?

    I would only accept it if the one I loved most also got to be immortal.
    Watching them die would be too much to bear.

    No. Being immortal would cause eternal suffering. You would watch as your parents die. Not only that but if you get married you would watch not only your love die but your children then your grandchildren and so on so forth. I would rather tell him bugger off then go yes.
