Here is a FAQ that can slve poke walker issues.

Q: What happens if my battery dies on my Pokewalker?
A: You will lose all steps and watts you had from the current trip but your
Pokemon will be safe. You will need to replace the battery, which is a
standard CR 2032 3V watch battery.

Q: I lost/broke my Pokewalker! How do I get my Pokemon back?
A: At the Pokewalker connection screen, press and hold Up, Select and R

    Q: Can I reset a Pokewalker?
A: Yes. At the Pokewalker connection screen, press and hold Down, X and L

Q: My steps are not being recognized. Is it broken?
A: Possibly. First off, are you shaking it to get steps? Shaking too fast will
not register the steps. If you're legitely walking and nothing is happening,
try pinning it to your pocket rather than just in your pocket. If you're
wearing shorts, pin it to the bottom of your shorts. The pin is strong enough
to work upside-down. If still nothing, try calling Nintendo.

Q: Give me ways to get steps without walking. NAO!
A: First, go walk somewhere. To school or work. If you're
looking for ways to cheat the system try attaching it to your sock and tap
your foot while you're sitting down. Perhaps I'll add a section for cheating
the system later. But it's seriously not that hard to get steps. Walking from
my room to the kitchen and back to my room is about 75 steps to the walker
when in all actuality it's about 30,
This is my first post and thread hope i helped

So I can clone pokemon by using its recover lost pokemon feature?

...but a lot of this stuff (actually I'd say all bar the 'how to cheat steps' part) is covered in the manual that comes with the game and Pokewalker...don't see much point in a thread that just repeats that info. =/ Furthermore there's already a Pokewalker guide written up in the FAQ thread sticky. So I'm afraid I'll be closing this due to that... nice idea, but there's just not that much use for this as there's already info abouts. =P
