    In-game trades have been around since the first Generation. They allow you to get a either a version exclusive or a rare Pokemon in return for one of your own. (Ok, sounds like I'm explaining how trading works. x_x)

    The in-game trades aren't all great. None of the Pokemon you can trade for evolve through trading. Except for that Haunter in Generation IV. Which was holding an everstone.

    Anyway;

    Which game had your favourite In-game trades?
    Did you ever participate in them?
    Were you happy with the types of Pokemon that was put into the games?
    Would you insert any new Pokemon trades? If so, where?

    If I had it my way, I'd insert someone in one of the Viridian forest buildings and have them want a Caterpie for Weedle. But only for Yellow; since they aren't found in Yellow. The same with Meowth and other non-yellow Pokemon.
     

    • Which game had your favourite In-game trades?
    HG/SS, since you could trade with characters such as Jasmine, Brock, Steven and Lt. Surge, for some pretty cool Pokémon too. I felt bad giving Jasmine a Magikarp for her Rusty.

    • Did you ever participate in them?
    Always, I always never try to miss one out, obviously I can't if the one they want is hard to find.

    • Were you happy with the types of Pokemon that was put into the games?
    There are some pretty boring ones, but others like the HG/SS ones were quite cool.

    • Would you insert any new Pokemon trades? If so, where?
    Meh, I don't have the imagination for that right now. But maybe with a professor would be a cool idea, maybe they could ask to find a Pokémon for them so they can research them, and they'll give you a starter in return. That would be neat.

    I also like how you can battle some of the people who you traded with, in which they use your traded Pokémon.
     
    The HGSS ones were definitely the best.

    I know what the worst one definitely is - Medicham for Haunter in Snowpoint in DP. I got all excited when I saw that trade because I thought I'd finally be able to get my hands on a Gengar, so I went and caught a Medicham, traded it... and the Haunter was holding a goddam everstone. :(
     
    I just did the in-game trades for the "completion" factor. I never really paid attention to the Pokemon once I traded them, and I don't have a strong opinion on the quality of the trades offered - all of them were just "okay" to me. I'd be okay with more in game trades, but it wouldn't be the biggest change I'd be dying to see implemented.

    But some of the traded Pokemon nicknames are LOL-worthy, like the classic "Dux" and "Lola" xD
     
    HG/SS and B/W had the best in-game trades (any Pokemon for Steelix, Forretress for Beldum (though it was tiring to get Forretress) and Ditto for Rotom).

    I did almost all the trades except for Ralts/Seedot for Makuhita and Bonsly for Rhyhorn.

    I liked some of the Pokemon that were given in return, like Munchlax and Rotom.

    I can't think of any new in-game trades at the moment.

    Well in most of them

    Were you happy with the types of Pokemon that was put into the games?
    I like the Petilii trade for the Cottonee because it gives you the chance to have an Pokemon Black exclusive and vice versa for Pokemon White.

    Would you insert any new Pokemon trades?
    I would insert a Vullaby for a rufflett trade and vice versa because it wasn't fair to most people that they couldn't even ask for it online because they have;t seen it in the game

    Favorite in-game trades? I don't like any of them, except in Black where you trade Cottonee for fabulous Petilil. So I guess that one. Oh wait, and the girl that gives you Rotom...well, I guess that means BW trades for me, haha. But RBY trades were good too, like for Farfetch'd, Lickitung,and Jynx, cause you couldn't get them anywhere else. So my favorite trades are BW, but the best trades definitely go to RBY.

    Most of these trades I find to be stupid. Bellossom for Corsola in RSE? You can fish for Corsola RIGHT outside the house of the guy that wants Bellossom. And to my knowledge, there's only one Sun Stone in that game, unless you can swipe one off Solrock (so sorry Sapphire) so just...not worth it.

    I can't tell you HOW many people I've traded Vullaby and Gothorita to. Needs a Solosis/Gothorita trade or a Vullaby/Rufflet trade, and remove the Petilil/Cottonee trade. You see them early anyway, so it wouldn't be hard to get them off GTS.
