Aakura jumped. "Water!" she hissed. "I hate water!" She shook her body, frantically trying to rid her fur of this annoying, wet water. Claws bared, the beast turned around, looking for the cause of this.

She stood on her haunches, preparing to attack. But then she realised something. The scent... she thought to herself, the scent, it's unbearable. It's so...so strong. Aakura's eyes widened, and she retracted her long, sharp claws. She sat up. Could this mean...

"You." she whisepered.

Kali awoke with a start, it was still early morning but she had heard a lot of commotion coming from within the city. She knew that no human was capable of creating such beastly sounds and so she immediately thought it to be her own kind.

Slowly she made her way out of the forest depths and weaved her way in and out of trees so that she made her way into the open. The noises were indeed coming from the city. But would she dare risk straying into the clutches of humans?

Putting aside her fears, she let out a mighty roar into the night to let her fellow beasts know that she was indeed around and could feel their presence. She then transformed into her armour clad, human form figuring that she would fit in more than what a Dragon would and made her way towards the city.

Though the upper half of her face was covered by the armour, she could se perfectly fine through the lenses, even though others could not see in. She would need to get herself a different attire sometime as this get up would not look well amongst humans.

She entered the city, and suddenly a massive pressure made itself known. It was the same as before when she had first sensed her brothers and sisters, but this time it was overwhelming.

She quickly took off into the depths of the huge city.

"Me." Silver stepped forward to see which beast he had found. It turned out to be the winged cat, Aakura. Allowing himself a small grin, Silver circled her. He quietly studied her closely, then sat and squinted in the darkness.

"So...I wasn't the only one. This smell...the scent of evil, if I am not mistaken. I presume that is what led you here as well?" One of Silver's heads scouted the area for any other beasts or enemies while the other stared at Aakura, waiting for an answer.

"True." Aakura stated proudly. Her eyes darted from the other beasts heads. She sat and looked to the sky.

"There's a new scent in the air. A vile one. However, there's also a strangely familiar one." the winged beast approached the slightly bigger, white one. "You know this scent. I do, as well. They're here. All of them. This scent..it's nearly unbearable. I can almost taste each approaching step." she began to walk away, but stopped. "You coming? We'll search together. Three heads are better than one. Or two, even."

Tyten sits on top of a mountain, looking down on the two-headed beast and the winged cat. He decides to follow them cautiously up at the sky. "Could it be? Is she reffering to me?" Tyten said to his mind. He shook his head and continued following.

"Naturally." Silver's heads grinned and he got up and shook his fur. Stretching his front leg muscles, he stepped next to Aakura and looked around. The smell of more beasts was thick in the air. It was all over, from the city to the mountains. So many beasts, all led here by the even thicker smell of evil.

"Ok...How do we do this? Split up and search, or stick together?" Silver's heads looked around in different directions. There was a beast in the mountains, and one in the city. Numerous others were scattered about, but the smell of evil covered them.

Aakura thought for a moment. She ruffled her wings and looked around. "I guess split up. Or I can stay here and wait. Some are approaching, so it may be best." Aakura shook her head in self-disagreement.

"It's better to split up. I can search from the sky. It's easier that way. I have a better view." she looked over at Silver and stretched her wings, beating herself off the ground. "I'll go into the mountains. There's a strong scent there." she said. "There's one in the city as well." the winged beast flew slightly higer."Once you find fellow beast, come back here! I'll do the same!" she shourted, and finally took off.

"Wait, where is here?!" Silver looked around and tried to remember this place. A tree. A rock. More trees. Some water. A bunny. Nothing that looked any different from another section of the woods. He considered marking, then shook his head and cursed himself for thinking that. Instead, he dug a deep hole in the earth. From above, it was a perfect circle.

"A smell from the north..." Silver dashed through the woods. He weaved between the trees and tried not to hurt any small animals. Then, out of the blue, he stopped and looked around.

"Aw crap, which way is north?!"

DragonSlayer try to write longer posts. ^^

Inferno and Scourge continued silently through the night. No sound was heard, except for the soft thudding of their paws against the solid ground. Both didn't dare speak outside of central, for danger of being heard by a human. Even though the only soud that could be heard was a low mumble, both Inferno and Scourge knew they did not sound like normal animals.

They were coming up to the northern part of the city when Inferno slowed down to a stop, Scourge stopping too. Lifting up her nose into the air, Inferno lightly sniffed. Her eyes shot open as she did. Scourge had smelled it too, for his fur had puffed out, and his claws out. "Sheath your claws, Scourge. There is nothing to be afraid of..." Scourge looked up with round eyes and obeyed, fur settling down as he looked ahead. Inferno's eyes softened as she turned foward. A shadowy figure loomed toward them, silent with every step taken. "Hmm.." Inferno smilled as her paws took a few steps foward. "Nice to see you again...Kali."

"This is like...What's that phrase? A hay in a needlestack? Who puts a hay in a needlestack?!" Silver grinned slightly at his own distractions. It took his mind off the stressful search for other mythical creatures that may be lurking around in the surrounding forests. His nose told him something he already knew: there was evil around. For once, it was useless. Silver's ears were just as bad. They picked up everything from acorns dropping to a bunny eating something. Taste was no good, and speaking would get him in trouble with the local city. All he had left was sight. Everything passed as a blur to him, so Silver looked for odd-colored blurs. Anything out of the ordinary.

"Come out and play, little beasties..." Silver thought over his words and decided it was too evil supervillan-ish. Shaking any other super villan phrases from his mind, he focused on his search. The scent from the city was the clearest of them all, but still very distant.

Aakura payed no attention to where she was, just where she was going. She wasn't that high off the ground, just a few feet.

This is taking to long. I need to speed up.. Aakura thought to herself. Just as she sped up, she knosked herself into a tree, falling down, not forgetting to hit every branch.

The cat cursed and got up. Dark blue feathers gently floated down, showing no sign of wind in the air. She mentally kicked herself for being so stupid. For all I know, Silver's probably found the others! she assumed. She licked a scratch and sighed. "I'll just walk. The mountains aren't to far."

She was right, they weren't. They were a decent walking distance. And she would fly up when she feels the need.

Silver came to a halt deep in the woods and looked around. There was nothing within sight except for green. Green everywhere. Green leaves, grass, moss...To Silver, it looked like someone flooded a formerly dim forest with green paint. The only other color was a little brown chipmunk.

"Oooooh, chipmunks..." Silver stared at the creature with both heads as it stared back. All was quiet for a few minutes. Something moved and a twig snapped, cutting through the silence. Silver continued to stare, as did the chipmunk. Then, it blinked.

"HA! You lose!" Silver grinned in triumph, then realized he had won a staring contest with a chipmunk who didn't know what was happening. He crouched low, hoping none of his fellow beasts heard that and looked for him. The chipmunk saw this as an attack move and ran for shelter. Silver slowly backed up, then turned and ran through the woods once more.

Kali gazed upon the two through the lens of her helmet and smiled in knowing of the face that looked upon her. She stepped forward out from under the shadows of the buildings and folded her arms across her chest. She sighed in relief at the figure standing before her and her mind registered that what stood before her, was one of her own species that she had been searching for.

Slowly she raised her clawed hands to her helmet and lifted it over her head. A river of crystal blue hair was revealed and amber eyes opened to gaze upon the two with abnormally loving eyes. A true smile graced her features for the first time in many a long years.

Her icy blue scaled shimmered in the moon light, making her look as if she were glowing. Though her stomach and face remained the same dull colour. She held the helmet under her arm and scrapped her long talons over the lens, lightly so that it did not mark.

"I have been looking for quite sometime. I had once been led to believe that you were dead. But after I arrived at the outskirts of this city, I was reassured by the amount of energy emitting from this city. But it is only now that I have entered, in fear that I may not be accepted in this ancient attire." She muttered casting her gaze down at her armour clad figure.

"There are more here. Shall we look for them? Perhaps later you can share your tale with me"

At that moment, a blue light engulfed her figure and she stood before the pair in her Dragon form.

[OOC: I apologize for my absence. I have been/am ill. Being that I returned to school today, I will try to post a little more often. I also have missing assignments and such to complete now, though . . . ]

Garnet tread silently through a narrow alley, his scarlet wings noiselessly brushing against the stone walls that stood at his sides and his golden eyes scanning the area for any indications of life. Almost a full week had passed since the beast's last meal, and the hunting spirit within him longed for the mere satisfaction of the kill. Though he never had any particular moral restraints as to the selection of human blood as a food source--and even fewer conservations following his betrayal--his betrayal had also formed within him a distaste for humans and a consequent desire not to taint himself by devouring them. But, such a desire often proved secondary when met both by prolonged hunger and an opportunity to satiate that hunger. As such, though Garnet might have preferred to drain an animal victim, he would have as easily quenched himself with a human at the moment.

Padding quietly from the alley into a wider, yet equally unoccupied, street, Garnet paused as faint sounds reached his ears. Pricking both ears and raising his head slightly, the beast suppressed a growl as a strange, inexplicable recognition entered his mind. What the creature had discovered was not food, but nonetheless of deep interest. Lowering his ears and head, Garnet turned and started down the empty road, his paws naturally avoiding the occasional puddle in submission to the beast's desire for undetected movement. These sounds . . . these energy signatures. I feel certain I've found what I came for. Somewhere nearby, there are others of my own kind.

OOC: Yeah, I could have posted a while back too, but I got in trouble. I hit someone with my flute... >>
Anyway, just thought I would say I can't post until tomorrow or the next day due to punishment.

Aakura found herself at the foot of the mountain, when she heard a tiny sound behind her. She spun around, only to find a very scared looking chipmunk just...standing there. Staring blankly at her. A single word rang through her head. Foooooooooooooood..., and, immediately, she pounced.
---
The cat-like creature dropped the rodents remains. Little drops of blood clung tightly to her long whiskers, and she sighed, licking her paw and rubbing it against her face, cleansing herself from the blood.

After "bathing", she found she had had enough energy, and she could finally climb the mountain.

Or rather, fly.

Inferno's eyes stared on at the magnificant dragon hybrid before her. She blinked once, and smilled, walking forward as the hybrid transformed into full dragon. Scourge looked up, and copied her movements, only his face remain expressionless. "My dear, dear, Kali...Now how could we possibly DIE? Well, ok, in these conditions for the past generations or so, I could see where you're coming from, but..." She trailed off as she got in front of her. Inferno's eyes gleamed with a happiness that could not be expressed into words. Scourge came up beside Inferno and bowed, his tail silently brushing against the ground. "We are...beasts that were sent down from god himself. We can never die; he would not allow it." She too, bowed her head slightly. "It is...such luck meeting up with you again. Through all this time, I thought I'd never see you again. But now..."

Scourge's ears perked. He quickly leaned his head past Kali and looked into the Forest Beyond. "Inferno..."

"Hmm..." Inferno gazed into Kali's eyes. For a split second, Inferno's eyes windened.

Just a bit...

"There are...More it seems. More. HERE."
