    Hey there!

I like to call myself Adonisity, albeit, not out as much out of conceit as for appreciation of the art. Honestly, though, you can call me Adon, Adonis or whatever works best for you.

I'm currently a high-school student. Feel free to hold that against me. I'm aware that I only know a decimal of a percent of everything there is to know.

    More about me:
    - I cannot stand debates. I used to be really into them, but upon doing some research, I found some solid brain science that explains why only the most civil of debates are useful. (The thinking part of your brain, the prefrontal cortex, is easily overpowered by the primal emotions part of your brain, the amygdala. Ergo, fear and anger usually get the best of us..)
    - I've been playing Pokemon for about 8 years now. So, while I haven't been around since day one, I still like to think of Pokemon being the defining influence on my childhood imagination.
    - I geek out on anything and everything that has to do with the mind. John B. Watson is my jammmm.
    - I'm extremely tolerant. I like the idea of people having the option to choose, especially when it comes to their happiness. I'm a strong feminist, and I think being a male has very little to do with that.
    - I like humans. People make me happy a lot of the time. ^_^
    - I'm addicted to turkey meat. Whether it be a thick turkey burger or juicy turkey sausage, you can bet I'm going to treat that stuff like it's the food of the gods.
    - In terms of competitive battling, I'm a little on the uneducated side. (That was an understatement).
    - I'm big on reading. Some of a few of my favorite books include Life of Pi, the Lorien Legacies series, The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials, The Raven Boys and World War Z.

Anyway, enough about me. I'm glad to be here, and I'm really looking forward to learning from and working alongside so many of you fellow PokeCommunity members!

But I like debating actually... :(

But besides that, I am also a high school student! I'm a freshman, and you? I'm very logical, so of course I love debates and I am such a nerd! I love reading books, and The Maze Runner Series and World War Z. I've seen Life of Pi, the movie version, but if the movie was good, image the book... Who's your favorite character from the Maze Runner? My personal favorite is Newt, because he just rules! Thomas, he's okay...

I've played Pokemon nearly all my life. So, I've played it since 3 and now I am 14, so I played Pokemon for 9 years now! :) I am not a very tolerant person, so we are completely opposite there. I'm not a turkey meat fan, and I sort of enjoy human company. It is entertaining, but I am an antisocial person... I'm a female so don't come bumping in my gender Adon.

Anyway, enough chit chat from me. Welcome to PC! Please do enjoy your stay with us! Can't wait to see you around!

Hey Aldonisty, welcome to PC! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Nah, people of all ages are welcome here on PC (So long as you didn't cheat the COPPA xD). You should take a while to get acquainted with the different members and forums, we have many forums to discuss nearly everything about Pokemon, and a few non Pokemon sections that you might want to check out as well.

I love debates. I'm aware that it's your personal opinion and I have nothing against it, but I'll throw around a few pointers, and maybe if you're really interested you can check out the Debates and Discussion forum. Debates, in a controlled environment are healthy for critical thinking and creativity. Coming up with quick responses to the argument posed to you is a feat in itself, and coming up with answers that can effectively find flaws in the other person's argument is even harder. Debates promote creativity as well, not to mention it expands your overall general knowledge on a plethora of different topics because you get to hear of a certain topic from another point of view that you may have previously not explored. Debates don't have a winner, but many new ideas and even just mere concepts can arise out of debates, and constantly thinking and challenging oneself and others is how we push together as a civilization, no?

Anyway, back on track, this is a welcome. xD

It's nice to see Pokemon fans come on here and finally get to jump into the community, and I'm sure you'll get more from being on the forums than just Pokemon knowledge, but invaluable things like friends over time. Also, Life of Pi is a great book, I had a wonderful time reading it. It's nice to see someone enjoy reading, the number of people that enjoy reading around me have slowly declined, and it's somewhat disheartening. That's besides the point. Good luck and enjoy your stay here on PC, if you need anything or just want to chat feel free to VM/PM me, I don't bite! Ciao. O/

Well welcome to the pc I like debating even though I am a complete man of science and like proof before believed. its fun to fight for what you think is right. Also even if you don't know as much as some people here everyone has to start somewhere. Btw very creative thread title I like it :) If u have any questions feel free to pm me. ;)

Playing Pokémon for eight years continuously is quite an accomplishment! Some of us fans aren't able to do that, as we drop out mid-way and pick up again later throughout the series. Personally, I'm can't exactly be put into this category, as I thankfully haven't done it. I simply love Pokémon games, and even if they wind up to be repetitive, I can't stop keeping up and staying tuned-in.

Say, of all games that you have played thus far, which do you believe is your most favorite? For me, it would likely have to be Emerald version; have loved it ever when I'd given it a shot for the first time, and enjoyed each and every one of my runs I had afterward. In total, I've played this game for about a total of eight to nine times, if I remember right! Aside from this, I'm also a fan of X and Y.

Anyhow, welcome to PokéCommunity, Adonisity! I hope you have a lovely stay here and enjoy all your visits. If you ever need anything, I'm here to lend a hand, so feel free to send a message to me any time. See you around!
