    Hello, everyone.
My mother told me about a problem about her laptop and her internet connection. When the internet cable is plugged into the laptop, she can't connect. But when the internet cable is plugged onto a different PC, the different PC can connect to the internet. Does anyone knew how to solve this problem?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

A bit more information would be appreciated, but either you haven't installed modem drivers (for USB connections, not enthernet) or something's wrong with your settings, either modem settings or computer settings. On the off chance you use virgin, there's a site in the manual you type in to modify your modem settings, 191.168.1.1, otherwise, read the manual >_>. Go fiddle around with those settings, if you fiddle long enough, you'll get there.

I think the problem is occuring because either you didn't install all the drivers needed, or maybe your LAN card is causing the problem. That's all I can think of.
You could try restarting the pc, cause LAN cards in laptop often happen to malfunction, and restarting often solves the problem.

I told her about this, but even she restarted it, the problem is still unsolved. She still can't connect.
