  • Any thoughts on why the number 9 is changing to the weird Í thing when I load my edited ROM?
  • Where can I find the Pika sprite in the top left corner in something like unLZ to edit it?

I believe Intro Text Editor doesn't register the number "9" for some reason. You can write "Nineties" in the next line instead.
As for the Pikachu, you can use N.S.E 2.X, or follow this tutorial.

Yer, I went with "The Nineties" instead. and got Pika sorted. Just had to look harder in NSE in the end
